Beginning of 2021 was the best time for crypto market as bitcoin along with ethereum was pumping as bull season was going on. But market is on correction mode in current time and it might dump more as death cross is forming in the bitcoin chart. That's why ethereum is dumping and more likely, it isn’t over yet. So be aware of current correction market and use stop loss if anyone's hodling ethereum and don't want to miss the profits.

ETH is still BTC's bitch just like other altcoins. It's a bitter pill to swallow but it's still the truth that alts cannot decouple from bitcoin. EIP-1559 upgrade should be helpful for the network but that doesn't guarantee price increase (not when BTC is at these levels).

Currently the cryptocurrency market is just declining as the Ethereum price has dropped by more than half. The price of all coins in the cryptocurrency market has been declining ever since the Bitcoin price started dumping. If the Etherium price continues to decline as it is now, the Etherium price will drop to $1,000 in a few days.

Cryptos are mostly bearish at this point. It's probably because Bitcoin is not doing well thanks to the recent Chinese crackdown - because of this, Bitcoin's hashrate has decreased and it created a lot of FUD. And bigger altcoins have a tendency to follow Bitcoin's trend direction.
In my opinion this is just a temporary decline, I still believe that long-term Ethereum will do well.

Obviously, the way etheruem is currently going is just depends on the BTC price movements. Etheruem is note standing on itself, and because Btc control the entire crypto market, the way of etheruem is basically depend on btc price control. It is very clear that btc drive the market, a rise in btc will also affect the altcoins market. The altcoins can not pump except there is a stable Btc price for some periods.
