Do you still believe in old coins?

Unfortunately from the start I didn't like FTM, so I never bought it.  Because I think this coin is not as safe as bitcoin and ethereum.  I prefer to invest in safe coins that are in the top 10 coins.  Old coins are safer, but we have to do research and observe the project, and always monitor developments in the media.

I am FTM holder and this coins more bored after waiting longer time but success break to higher price, its difficult choose for us when becoming long term holder to ear profit with FTM coins I think not recommended coins if want get short term profitable in cryptocurrency trading.
Invest with top 10 coins on CMC is more safety than old coins but difficult reach to higher price, right now focus only with ETH, BNB and BTC for long term investment and get increasing faster than other coins. We not scare when price crashing because three option above for investing have faster recovery to higher price.

As I said before, even though it is an old project and can survive, we also have to be able to choose which assets we can invest in, because not all old coins are profitable, because they are difficult to move.

I usually look at how strong their community is, because that is one of the factors why they can survive and it can also be a consideration for us. The reason is that with a strong and solid community they usually also have a big influence on price increases.

Until now, no new coins have provided any surprises. At least they can displace old coins that already exist and contribute to their users.

But look at other old altcoins. Are they even close to ATH? Look at really old and former popular altcoins. Like EOS, Neo or Waves for example. All of them were among top10 several years ago. Now look at them. -90% of their value is lost. They are still familiar to many, but we dont hear anything new from devs. In addition new ideas appear on the market. So I see no big point in old altcoins.

Bruh... no one knows which coin will soon reach its new ATH point in the future. You will only notice it as the latest ATH point when the coin price starts to bearish and the point is missed. You might assume again for a new ATH point, but it is clear that there is no certainty there.

For large coins that are scams, at least the percentage is not as big as coins with rank 30 to the lowest rank that have committed scams. It's all based on percentages, where every coin has the possibility of failing in the future, including bitcoin, while coins with a high rank always have a smaller chance of being destroyed, because it is related to liquidity, trust and ongoing progress.

Strangely, big coins will always be the third big news to fail... while small coins will not be seen in the news, even though the number of new coins that are scams is many times greater.

As I'm checking my old wallets that I almost forgot for years , I found out that I still have my NEO in it in which One of my favorite coin when ii first drop in crypto world, and reading this thread again i am thinking what to do ,.

We have been seeing almost the same picture for a long time where it is very difficult for an altcoin to get a 2nd ATH after getting one. Especially the coins that are not in the top 10 coins. And new coins dominate the market most of the time. Although it is difficult to predict how strong the new coins will be, this is how the market has been going for several years. I have long held a few altcoins that are not even in the top 100 now. But I believe there is nothing to lose if you invest in these two coins, Ether and BNB, even if you hold it for a long time.

But on the other hand, if you dont fanatically follow old altcoins/projects, how often do you hear news or achievements of old altcoins? For example take something old, like Stellar for example. When was the last time you heard something positive from it? When was the last time project announced something, that forced price to pump. What I am trying to say, that today, people in cryptocurrency industry, prefer not to look on the past, but to look or hype on new things, projects or trends. Instead of hoping that Stellar will double the price, people invest and earn from new. Imho old is old for crypto. No one is interested in old technology.

Order altcoins are trusted because they are well tested coins so everyone is familiar with its success but people often try to choose new coins as they have heard that they will give them abrupt and huge revenue but all heard information is not worthy.

Solana is a good project and is more trusted and accepted currently due to its booming favorable outcome and immense demand. Old coins have clear history so its success is obvious while the success of new coins always remains hidden until it goes higher in worth and does not add itself in scam projects.

Neo had a successful bullrun in 2017 and was considered the Chinese Ethereum, but unfortunately, it did not achieve the success that investors had hoped for. Neo was almost forgotten during the bullrun 2021 and is currently no longer mentioned by any crypto KOL. No one is following Neo technological developments or ecosystem, no one is suggesting investing in NEO or analyzing NEO price chart. It's really a pity for a potential Layer-1 blockchain project!

I'm not sure why Neo failed, maybe it was abandoned by the whales after they made big profits in 2017. The tokenomics of ICOs in 2017 were not generally beneficial for long-term manipulation: all tokens were unlocked during the ICO and whales would have to spend a lot of time and financial effort to accumulate a large portion of the tokens during the crypto winter. New projects with Pre-sales and Private-sales are really more attractive options than old projects like Neo.
