For sure Bitcoin has a good potential of making profit for investors but I think when investing for a long term, one should be able to exercise patience as that is the key to a successful long term investment plans. If as an investor, you lack patience, I really think it would be very difficult for such an investor to hold for a long term because of the fact that they are impatience coupled with fear mechanism they already have, they would not be able to achieve their long term investment plan which is not suitable.

We all know that irrespective of the Bitcoin price drop which sometimes is price corrections or possible manipulation by the big whales in the industry, the price of Bitcoin will definitely rise back to its all time high but its just a thing of patience and perseverance to achieve our long term investment goals.
It's true that BTC is the oldest coin in the crypto market, but when it comes to old coins, we usually don't mention BTC because it's still the most valuable crypto asset in the market. We usually talk about other altcoins like EOS, NEO, TRX, ADA, SOL, NEAR, FTM, AVAX... which were successful in previous cycles.

Now we can be confident that BTC and ETH will continue to exist and be worth investing in the future, possibly until the end of the crypto market, as they have a special and irreplaceable role in the market. I hope other old coins will also have the same position, for example SOL and BNB are also very promising, so that we can enter a new phase of the crypto market: stable and sustainable growth with a few truly efficient blockchains with users.

BNB is linked to Binance, and Binance will not stay with us forever, so we cannot expect to see it have the same value in 10 or 20 years.
SOL does not offer anything new and will inevitably be replaced with the first coming wave, so it will definitely not be the future.
Betting on Monero or any coin that offers something unique will be better.

I agree with you on BNB. Regarding Solana, I think it will stay but I don't have arguments, on Monero, I feel it's your personal preferance speaking.

What a good analysis you have there, however come to even think of it I have never even think on that direction instead I was actually seeing BNB as one of the best coin to invest considering the fact that it has been making a good move since it was created, so I thought that since BNB has gone this far they will never face any challenges since they are linked to binance.

Actually I'm very glad to see your own perspective about BNB because before now I was actually thinking is one of the best altcoins to consider on the long run, however one of the coin I'm not really certain about there future potential is the SOL irrespective of there current price now, so seeing you highlighting it has shown that my analysis about it was somehow correct, so people should be very care in choosing those coins as an alternative.

While all you've said could be completely accurate, we can't ignore the fact that it's for now just mere speculations and assumption and while there's a pretty good possibility of it happening, there's also the tiniest chances that it could actually turn out to not be completely true, and things could actually go sideways and those tokens end up appreciating beyond expectations in the lomg run.
There's also every possibility that the tokens could join the next bull run and outperform others.
It's important to always remember that the crypto market is highly unpredictable and one can not always accurately predict the future of the crypto market.

I also think that the main thing is that it is difficult to determine and predict exactly the future of the crypto market. What exists is making predictions, which are usually made based on experiences that have already happened and hoping that there will be a possibility of repetition, but that also does not necessarily come true in reality.
The accuracy of the determination is, of course, when it has happened and can be seen for real, but for future developments it might actually happen like that, and it might not happen. There will always be two different sides that will occur when predicting the future.

In the list of top coins, besides new famous names like Solana, Polygon, Polkadot, Terra, Cardano… there are still many famous old projects from last season like EOS, IOTA, Litecoin, Waves, NEO, TRON... Many people say that these are old platforms and are considered "zombie platforms" because they don't have many users now. Many people even mock them and say they will soon be replaced by newer, stronger, more user-friendly projects.

Personally, I still believe that each token has its own moment. The old projects have been around for about 3-4 years, and the team has enough time to perfect the technology and create a product for the community. This is very different from new projects that haven't run testnet/mainnet or MVP yet, everything is still just a promise on paper… Also their community is huge, and these tokens are absolutely worthy for whales to select and pump/dump.

I still spend most of my assets on quality old projects like Ethereum, EOS, IOTA, NEO, TRON. I still assume they have x100 potential in this bullrun.

Do you own old coins? Do you still believe in their future?

Honestly, the old coin are not in anyway considered as zombies coins, infact they are the piller of the entire altcoins market and without these coins, the new coins are nothing to write home about  Let me tell you, many of the new coins that are on the market hardly survive btc market dumps with the shortest period. There are so many of these new coins that cant boost of liquidity or consistent trading volume.
ilIn my opinion, I believe the old coins better than huge numbers of the new coins in whatever yardstick it is measured.

No doubt there are other altcoin or crypto currency out there making good profit for investors but the truth and truth still remains that Bitcoin was the first digital currency and Ethereum follows with both of them being this popular in the Crypto space and no other coin or token can surpass the visibility it has garnered for the years past.

Should I call the other altcoins as a second generation of Crypto currency because they are of the later generations years after the emergence of Bitcoin. Although some came the same year but have not been able to surpass the achievement of Bitcoin within these years of many existence.

Are you saying Binance will be off the market anytime in the future?  ::)
I don't like when things are centralized most especially when there is too much monopoly from a company and that's exactly what Binance is doing in crypto space and they don't have real competitors to fight against but I'm not sure any one is going to pull them down soon, they have too much loyalist in this crypto space.

Bybit was what I was looking forward for changes but their listing pattern of coins and dump is affecting users and this is what Binance avoid when listing new coins as much as possible, they alwsys stay far ahead of everyone in this crypto space but I really hope for some transition from otter players.

BNB is linked to Binance, and Binance will not stay with us forever, so we cannot expect to see it have the same value in 10 or 20 years.

I agree on this. It is just like newer songs that easily fade in the memory of most people but old songs remains. Some sort of old is gold thing to be honest. Investors has this trust on older coins than newer coins especially long term investments. Aside from Bitcoin, Monero is good, Ethereum, Doge, Litecoin and Dash. I personal hodl these coins before but now I don't have much capital to buy them I only have small portions of Bitcoin though I have some shitcoins as well but yeah I wish it will blow up in the Altcoin season. 😅

I have not dared to invest in Shitcoin again, because in the season that I had lost a lot of capital because I did not have time to monitor the market until it was trapped and Shitcoin became worthless because it was late selling it. Currently I believe in investing again in Old coins, of course coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Matic and Ripple. Maybe if I have a good experience and analysis at Shitcoin I will try to invest there again.

I couldn't agree more with you mate.
While the crypto market's volatility and unpredictable nature has its own advantages to people who knows exactly how to navigate the market, it also has quite the opposite result on those who do not really understand the crypto market and how it works, hence, it's very important for an investor to realize that it'll never be possible to predict the future performance of the market, and that past performances can never guarantee future results, so the fact the market performed in some way last year due to a certain occurrence doesn't mean it's certain that history would repeat again this year or next year as there are many factors that contributes to market changes, and each year has its own occurrences.

Sure, old coins cannot be neglected, because they still stand strong and lively. And whenever you make mention about the crypto world, you must surely make mention of them, BTC, ETH, LTC etc. They made the popularity of crypto. New projects are just building on the foundations already laid.
As of popularity and price changes, the old coins has gained a lot and they have made profits for traders and investors over the years.
New projects likely suffer pump and dump, though they also make profit for investors but when they haven't gotten the stability they need completely in the market, once they're dumped, the even get delisted from exchanges. However, we still see some new projects that are successful and still waxing strong in the crypto market.
But the old coins can't be forgotten because once upon a time, they were also new coins in the crypto world.

It is said in many circles, not just crypto circles, that the only permanent thing is change. But I know that the top coins or old coins in crypto like bitcoin, ethereum, binance coin etc would still almost be there in guarantee. You can buy them and store in a cold and offline wallet and expect them to be there and in profit in 10 years time
