Do you still believe in old coins?

Personally, I still believe that each token has its own moment. The old projects have been around for about 3-4 years, and the team has enough time to perfect the technology and create a product for the community. This is very different from new projects that haven't run testnet/mainnet or MVP yet, everything is still just a promise on paper… Also their community is huge, and these tokens are absolutely worthy for whales to select and pump/dump.

I still spend most of my assets on quality old projects like Ethereum, EOS, IOTA, NEO, TRON. I still assume they have x100 potential in this bullrun.

When you look into the crypto space very well you’ll notice that the old coins are the ones that are even performing well in the market. You can’t find any of the new coins in the top 100 cryptocurrencies, and if you even come across any it’ll just be few out of the 100’s of them. I still have much hope on old projects and the new ones are not bad too but saying the old ones will be going to exile is not something I see happening or coming soon. Projects that are already pump and dump can be sighted afar and can be avoided immediately. Pump and dump coins don’t last long in the market and they cannot be amongst the top best performing coins because they won’t even make it there.

Old coins are coins that have proven to have a reputation for surviving until now, and of course have a large community. but if we can choose a new potential project, our profit will be greater than investing in old coins. The note is, new coins or projects have a greater risk.

Agree with what you said that short term trading is very possible at this time, because we know that since the past few months there has been a continuous decline and not long after an increase, so there will be a price difference that can be obtained to make a profit.
For investment, I think the DCA scheme is very good to choose because the situation is not stable, so the price is inevitable it will always be different at any time.
Old altcoins are, of course, the ones that are ranked best on CMC, which are worthy of investment and not for others, because we don't know their ability when the time comes they will be able to increase or not.

And it's because they are prime movers,

1. Bitcoin - the one and only
2. Ethereum - started the whole altcoin market
3. BNB - the native token for Binance's blockchain and it's also the first of it's kind.

So if you noticed, there's similarity between the three and that's why they are considered solid and I do agree that they could be invested specially if you are a beginner here and not on meme coins and shit coins as the risk is very high for a newbie to lost money right away.

I still continue to mine scrypt at nicehash. I signed a host contract for 1 year. will cost me close to 2400 from august 1 2024 to august 1 2025.

So it is a decent commitment for scrypt mining.

Maybe you will have to be more specific just as you mentioned bitcoin and ethereum, if this two are the only old coins you believe in, then your comment is quite understandable, and this is because when it comes to abandoned projects, or projects that may or have turned to scam in the past, this is not a peculiar thing or issue with new coins alone, there are alot of old coin/projects that have been abandoned, they are still listed on exchanges and it's price can be tracked on places like coinmarketcap and coingecko.com, but this coins have turned to speculative coins rather an a utility coins.

So, in essence, any project can be abandoned, be it a new or old project, and any can turn to scam too, except for the fact that the chances of a project turning to scam is higher with new projects, but still, I have to still be careful in choosing which old coins to invest our hard earned money on.

Most of the old coins are trusted and if we talk about its success then through choosing top coins we can make good profit and if someone is losing money through investment in old coins then it is not necessary that the coins will be unworthy but it can also be possible that a holder will have made some faults which causes his defeat.

BTC, BNB, and ETH are safe coin for long term holding. These old coins are the priority of most crypto investors, people put bigger funds in these coins. Sure, they have been proven to stay and grow very well in crypto industry. Many experts say that we even no need do much research if we invest in those coins. However, I agree that we still need to do an analysis or research. It is important to know the market current trend and the possible pump of the coins in the future.

I agree, it does not guarantee that an old project that is still circulating but not a potential one will be the same as a new project that will also be abandoned at any time, because no one is trading there much anymore, so it will not be able to develop properly and can be targeted by investors.
When it comes to fraud, it seems that it is almost done by new projects, because there is no guarantee that it will be able to develop properly.
I am very sure that everyone must remain vigilant in making every investment, because both old and new will be the same if it is detrimental.

Yeah you are right, old coins are the best to invest into in other to have peace of mind, a lot of new coins has destroy and frustrated a lot of people and some of all this new coins are scam and should be avoided, a friend of mine invested into one new coins that came out those days and he used a very huge amount of money to invest into it and the coin started growing so he sold all his coins quick and made good amount of profit before the coin fell in value and price he was luck with that invested and he was very happy so he decided to invest again and he did but he lost all his money into it, what am I saying here investing on new coins is very risky and should be avoided, a lot of people choose to invest in new coins thinking they will make good money from it but reverse is the case, so I will advise newbies to focus on old coins.

A lot of people thinks old coins like Bitcoin won't grow again so they choose to invest in new coins with the believe that they will one day grow and become like Bitcoin, if you need to invest in a coin and have peace of mind I think you should invest into Bitcoin, those investing in new coins are always panicking and thinking about there money, they don't have peace of mind that that's because investing on new coins are very risky, there's high scam rate now in new coins.
Bitcoin has not even reached half of it's growth level so I don't know why some people believe Bitcoin won't grow more than it is now people that were having this believe before are now regretting, so is best will stick to old coins like Bitcoin.

Sometimes people make investment mistakes and blame the coin for it. For instance as an investor in Crypto, wisdom demands that you properly study the market movement so as to know when to enter or take your position and in some cases, it is mostly advisable to buy the dip and hold your position but in a situation where an investor buys at high and all of a sudden the market price drops automatically low and the investor is quick to sell and start crying foul blaming the project so hurriedly but have forgotten that there are some procedures to have followed before buying and in some cases they have no idea of holding for a long term because when the market price retraces, It would definitely bounce back but fear and pannic would not allow them be patient but rather in a haste to sell off.
