Its not a shock that there are still so many of us, because we know that this will do fine for us and that is why we prefer it this way. I think its easily suspectible that we are going to do fine, and because of that there isn't really anything shocking to us, we should consider this as normal as it gets. I am not saying that we are going to see new coins be shitty at all times, of course there are some good new coins that end up being profitable for many people, but the old ones at the top usually do keep their rank or just make profit, this is why many people prefer it this way and invest into them.

In the list of top coins, besides new famous names like Solana, Polygon, Polkadot, Terra, Cardano… there are still many famous old projects from last season like EOS, IOTA, Litecoin, Waves, NEO, TRON... Many people say that these are old platforms and are considered "zombie platforms" because they don't have many users now. Many people even mock them and say they will soon be replaced by newer, stronger, more user-friendly projects.

Personally, I still believe that each token has its own moment. The old projects have been around for about 3-4 years, and the team has enough time to perfect the technology and create a product for the community. This is very different from new projects that haven't run testnet/mainnet or MVP yet, everything is still just a promise on paper… Also their community is huge, and these tokens are absolutely worthy for whales to select and pump/dump.

I still spend most of my assets on quality old projects like Ethereum, EOS, IOTA, NEO, TRON. I still assume they have x100 potential in this bullrun.

Do you own old coins? Do you still believe in their future?

Of course i still believe in old tokens even though new tokens continue to emerge that offer various ideas.

You are right.
New tokens - risks + rewards because of the funds flowing and innovation at stake.
Old tokens - less risks but less rewards, the main thing at stake is time, mainly ;D A lot of it will be needed if the market and BTC dumps.

I think we can try both, by investing in old coins even though the profit is small but safe and also learning to invest in new coins or projects with high risk and high profit. This allows us to gain profit by diversifying in crypto investment.

I agree with you that a good time to sell new coins is when they are first listed on the exchange and after that they are likely to be dumped. Many new coins can give you big profits but if we sell them late, we will lose because the price of the coins will plummet.
We have no choice, it is the best way to take profits from new coins. I was trying to hold new coins a long time but it never worked well. Now, I concluded that new coins is just for a short term holding. We must directly sell all the new coins when they are listed for the first time in the exchanges. It is very true that most new coins will keep decreasing after they are listed in the exchanges. So, the best opportunity to take profits is when they hype of the first listing.  :D

I agree, but I would make a bigger portion of my portfolio into the old coins.
Stability of the investment is at stake, after all ;D

Yes it is true that old coins perform well, and I always believe in old coins.  If we have to invest for a long period of time then older coins are more profitable, and those coins remain safe.  Financially beneficial going forward, like doge, bnb, xrp, eth, etc...

It's simple, old tokens are pioneers in cryptocurrencies and those that have survived until now are those that have good teams and good investors, so it's difficult to leave old tokens like Tron and others.

It's also difficult to leave old tokens like LTC  (litecoin) because the transaction speed is fast and the fee is also low. Sometimes people doesn't only choose old coins because of the profit they are expecting to make but they choose the coins before of its features. For example, there's a saying that " if you want security and decentralization, you can go for monero. " While because of low transaction fee, some crypto enthusiast choose to transact with a different token or coin.

That's right, old coins are a very safe place to invest and are rarely riskier compared to new coins. why is that because new coins are very prone to fraud, in fact I have heard a lot that new coins make people bankrupt and it's a pity that many of those who invest in new coins are beginners. However, not all new coins are scams, most of them are 70% and many of the rest are successful.

I think it also makes sense to try something that might be done in a way like you said, because to be safer, of course, investing in old and potential coins is an obligation that must be done, because to avoid something we don't want. But besides that, trying with new coins with conditions that might be different from the analysis carried out with the assumption that if you get a very large profit with a risk that is not small, you will lose the funds we invest.

I would be very cautious with old coins as new coins and trends offer and to the same but more effectively. Old coins are in top only due to past fame and popularity. Invent something new and people would forget about old in no time. People say they are low risk with low reward, but each day time works against them. If old coins is not something from cmc top10-15, better start thinking about selling it, as with each market dump, it takes harder and harder for them to recover, because people jump out into stables and btc.

It will come back to our actual decision, whether we will take the risk to get a big profit, or we will play it safe with an equivalent reward too. To be safer the old coin is the choice, so please choose the old one.

I personally prefer not to forget the old and also always take advantage of the new, it requires financial management, because of course the capital we have will be divided into several parts, so as much as possible we take advantage of it.

Old coins have a large community while new coins have better solutions and tokenomics, which creates an interesting competition in the market. However, from an investment perspective, I also agree that the majority of new coins will have growth potential and generate profits, while the majority of old coins will disappear from the top-cap right after 1 cycle.

Those old coins that survive all have their own positions: BTC, ETH, LINK, ADA, BNB, DOGE all made impressive comebacks in the 2021 bull run while many other old coins failed like EOS, NEO, XTZ, LTC... Therefore, investors should allocate capital to top-tier old coins such as BTC and ETH, then choose more new coins to invest in such as ARB, OP, SUI, APT...

Re: Do you still believe in old coins?

Our capital will be divided into several parts because we diversify the potential coins to hold. I also buy old coins and new coins, only buying old coins that are popular and have greater potential than new coins because for me new coins can indeed get higher profits but also have greater risks. The old coins that I always hold are bitcoin, ethereum and BNB.

This strategy is a good strategy, because we can get other benefits when one coin goes down. Maybe it won't be maximized, because the capital we have will be divided into several parts, but this is worth doing in my opinion.

Bitcoin will always be the prima donna in my investment, I feel how bitcoin can provide benefits, especially if we are able to hold it for a long time. I think everyone feels this.
