Yes I habe done that. I keep my tokens until the price is so high then convert to ethereum. It is my way to get alot profits.

It depends on the coin. When I see that the coin is loosing its value I'll covert them to ETH and use it to trade other coins. Some coins I still hold because I trust they have a good future. I earned a few ETH by doing bounties.
