Hello, I am DYING_S0UL. I am applying to be a moderator for the overall general section. I am a highly active member, as well as part of the D. team. I have had several successful reports on abusers like spammers, AI posters, shillers etc (still to this date). Tbh, I would have applied for my local section. But we already have 2 mods there. So I don't think I am needed there. That's why I am applying for a general section mod or any sections the admin, president and vice president seems fit, so that I can help and prevent potential abusers. I am also adding my portfolio as a translator with a view of consideration for my application.
You're referring to Bengali section I assume based on
your stats? Even if there are already two mods there doesn't mean there can't be a third of fourth. Especially for this language section, given the considerable problems there have been in the past... which is another story. There are other language sections with up to 4 mods (if you include GMs as well for example), so it's nothing out the ordinary for a relatively busy section. As for the rest of your stats, having 24 posts in altcoins section (a main section) is far from suggesting you should moderate that section or others to me. Usually a user/mod is promoted as they have 100+ posts in a section minimum, and probably these days more like 200/400+ based on current mod statuses, with some exceptions such as dead local language sections or new section etc.
It's not that I'm opposed to you being a mod of other sections beyond your local language, only that you lack the activity thus far. I'd recommend being more activity in sections you are interested in to increase your chances of becoming a mod, and otherwise think starting of as a local language jnr mod is a good start here. Of course this isn't up to me and instead up to the President who will no doubt make an informed opinion and decision on the matter regardless of my opinion, but otherwise I think Freemind can understand my point regarding activity. While reporting history and activity is more important overall for being a mod, high activity in sections is also crucial.
I would also say I am not opposed to you being fast tracked to full mod either, without having any assigned forum sections, and in fact I think this is a good idea personally. This would then give you the ability to send warnings to users who breach the forum rules, similar to your work at d team already. We've never trialed it this way before but I don't see why it might not work, and given the limited number of mods involved in this task (jokers, freemind, and i), it could help to relieve some of the work load overall... just food for though.
