As a novice as stated, it will be more advisable to start with holding. After earning your tokens either from investing, bounty or airdrop, just hold for sometime as you gradually study the market for the true potentials of the coin to unveil. Trading especially with the "day-trading" requires experience as you might lose all your money.

Indeed long-term investment is a long process, but if the short term will be greater risk, because if we are a little late will lose a lot of coins.

For me i go to holding because holding is very safe and you have time when you sell your coin.

Of course there are always risks both in holding or trading, but in my point of view, holding poses lower risks and if you hold a handfull of coins, chance is that at least one or two will increase their value many times with time, and this will probably turn out to be more profitable than doing trading for quick cash...
The risk is that some of the coins being held loose their value completely, but in crypto pacience is the key and high rewards come to pacient holders ...
