The cryptocurrency market went mainstream in 2021, attracting the attention of not only institutional firms and billionaires, but other countries as well. El Salvador first created history by making bitcoin legal tender in the country, which caused a domino effect that led countries like Paraguay, Argentina and Panama to also try to legalize the use of cryptocurrency in their financial sector.

I think I would agree 100% with this Zimbabwe Finance Minister and I hope he can convince the ;leadership of his country to officially adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender...this way they can plug the problem of inflation happening in their country. And this is the best time that they can do it...before BTC jumps to $100K. They should learn from the lessons made in El Salvador which poised to gain a lot with the rise of Bitcoin in the market.

I think he has a point. No matter how critical someone is about cryptos, or how much regulators are unsure about it, they have definitely gained enough traction to be significant and it's no longer possible to completely ignore them.

Zimbabwe has always been mentioned as one of the few countries where cryptocurrency has been banned. Therefore, the statement of the Minister of Finance of this country that the government can make certain concessions and allow cryptocurrency to function on the national stock exchange is already a great progress. We see that such a concession became possible after this minister learned that 30 percent of the country's young population is investing in cryptocurrency. That is, it was through the support of the cryptocurrency by the population that its official circulation became possible, although not yet completely complete.
