This actually hurts so badly, but that's not the only thing that can break one's heart. Have you ever made an investment with your life savings and, at the end of the day, the company crashed? If you ever trusted a friend so much that you offered them a huge loan and they did not pay you back, All of those examples are really the kinds of things that can break someone's heart, and when such things happen, the feelings are usually the same.

Some people usually say that it's only when someone breaks your trust that it will break your heart, but that is not just the case; there are other things that I have listed above.

There was one man in my country who, after he heard the news that the company he invested his lifesaving money in had collapsed, became conscious and rushed to the hospital, where he staved himself more often for weeks until he finally got over it.

Also, when someone tries to avoid you then come back on your own. When your needs are gone then people will think you're boring and avoid you. Seeing someone you love and trust not reciprocating your love in same measures is somehow devastating. Some times we as humans go extra miles to make sure that we unconditionally love someone but our effects are not reciprocated and it seems and looks like you are just desperate and wasting your time for someone who does not care about you or the love you have for them. I have been in such situation and I must safe, if one is not strong enough to withstand the shock that comes with heart breaks, one might resort to acting rashly which might be life threatening.

Trust is the bedrock of every relationship. If you lack trust in your relationship then what point or need is the relationship for. When you trust someone whole heartedly, it means you have that person at heart and you can count on that person to be of good importance to you but if the trust is no more, you would doubt yourself as to how you were swayed to trust that person. From these kind of experience hatred begins and it is very dangerous. These are the reasons why people find it difficult to trust someone because of their past experience.

i am someone who deeply values friendships because i choose my friends carefully i believe that quality over quantity matters so i would rather have a few friends i know i could trust rather than have a hundred or more and no one knows me and is willing to help me anytime

so if i lose any of my friends, i would be devastated i only show myself to these chosen people and i hope that they never betray me as much as i would never do that to them

The thread has been posted around 6 years ago... but it's still relevant so who cares. 

Anyway, losing my dogs is what breaks my heart the most. It's not only losing my dogs, but seeing dogs struggling is what makes my heart break. If only I have the capabilities to adopt those stray dogs, I will do it immediately, but I can't as of the moment. The only thing that I can do right now is to donate a portion of my salary to those dog houses that are adopting, and taking care of dogs and cats as well.

This is my end-goal be goal. To help these shelters and at least I can give donations to them on a monthly basis.

When our loved ones betrayed us.

That's again something that hurts so bad. Imagine putting your trust so much in someone (friend, partner, parents, siblings) and showing the person all manners of sweet love and affection and you so much confide in the person but the person in turn rewards all you sweet love and affection for them with betrayal, such betrayal can be very painful and leave the person heart broken.

Mine is definitely seeing people struggle and suffer when they do not  deserve to. It is tough for me to witness other people facing hardship or unfairness, especially when it seems like there is not much or nothing they can do to change their situation.
