They should all be punished for engaging in pyramiding scheme...and tarnishing the image of cryptocurrency by using it as one of the mediums of exchange. Why he should be allowed to get lesser punishment in return for turning his back on his former associates...they should be convicted as one! Whether one is using fiat or crypto, a pyramiding scheme will eventually collapse leaving people behind crying for their money.
