I do not think that the decision of the government of the Russian Federation to completely ban cryptocurrencies can greatly affect other states as an imitation. I am seeing a good chance that eventually Russia can be allowing some crypto-related business to come in maybe in specific area or location...with the intent to exploit the possible market and to bring in revenues for the government itself. Had it been a blanket ban, maybe they could have done that at the time when China decided to ban cryptocurrency. Right now, we are reading some positive statements coming from the top hierarchy of the country so I am hoping that soon we can see Russia slowly and carefully opening its market.
