Rebase tokens and top crypto gainers

Looking at the “Top Gainers” list on CoinMarketCap it’s not uncommon to see coins at the top of the list that have gone up 3000% in the last 24hrs. These obviously seem too good to be true and, after doing some digging around, I discovered something called “rebase tokens” where, if you invest, you lose coins each time the price goes up – which effectively results in no profit! This leads me onto a few questions:

- When you see a massive 3000% price hike in 24hrs is this always a rebase token? Or do some non-rebase tokens go up this kind of amount in 24hrs?
- Can you actually make a profit through rebase tokens? As it seems, from how it’s been explained to me, that you can only ever draw even!
- Is there a “Top Gainers” list I can access anywhere that doesn’t show rebase tokens? Because, from what I can tell, rebase tokens render the top gainers list meaningless!
