I think that when a gambler loses, the emotion of grief gets mixed up and becomes more aggressive to win and addict. Yes it should be a source of entertainment but people are now trying to make it a source of income which is very impossible, this is where the problem starts from. I have a friend that always gambles when he has an urgent need, he  tries to get money from gambling to solve his problems everytime and it always ends up badly.
