The problem is that every day there are more people who are interested in cryptocurrencies and although people who have been around for a few months are already learning, newcomers need more time, and are the first to fall into the traps of scammers. To the groups you have mentioned I would add a third, those who really want to learn and logically make money. Unfortunately, that group is the one with the fewest users, but there are some. The groups you say are usually the users who leave or abandon cryptocurrencies with a bad taste in their mouths. Without learning and patience they will not achieve much, they will probably be scammed or lose their investments in some worthless and meaningless memecoin in which someone would have assured them they would make a lot of money. That's something that has happened since the beginning of cryptocurrencies.

Every crypto bull run, there must be atleast 1/3 growth of the previous number of people that join the bull run and this number is expencted to continue like that as long as new projects with interest keeps coming and as this number increases with time, more and more scammers keep coming to these new places because that's where noobs without fully understanding of crypto are always based. Sometimes I don't blame the newbies, it's just nature of something people are ignorant about, even outside crypto there are plenty of people that are ignorant of things they used and they get scam.

In my opinion, not only beginners but also old players can often fall into the trap. If you have been lured to a prize, then sometimes the hand speed of clicking is easier, rather than thinking first, so it's not surprising that many people fall into this fraud.
They have positioned themselves as a very profitable business sector, even though sometimes only a few people fall for it, but it still produces results because it is easy to do.
There are no specifics regarding what network to use, but usually the network that is easier and more well-known and has cheaper gas costs will be their target.

In the days of ICOs, there were numerous scams until there arrived the IDOs era. IDOs were a little better but was not as popular as the ICOs days. Scam activities on the IDOs look more traceable to certain IDOs platforms which were used to run these IDOs. IDOs carried on the Binance smart chain  and many others were characterized with scams because BSC becomes very popular due to it's cheat transaction fees.
In my opinion, IDOs supposed to have experienced a huge success but it fall short of tht expectation because scammers took advantage of its features to also launched a similar Decentralized platforms to scam individuals.
Now, the coming of IEOs has proven to be better way for New start ups token sales till date. As a matter of facts, IEOs has not recorded much issues of scams since it inception. I stand to be corrected.

That's what makes many people, especially beginners, fooled, because there is a price that appears and the amount is sometimes very tempting. It's not new to see tokens that come suddenly have an estimated price of tens of thousands of dollars.

I myself would not be that easy to believe, and even if I were curious I would find out more through Smart Contracts for example and others. There are many things we can do to verify whether the coin is real or a coin from a scammer.

I also often find lots of high-value tokens in my wallet. And usually that happens when I make several exchanges on dex. In essence, when a wallet is actively used, it is not surprising that a few days later several tokens will appear sent to our wallet. Whether it is a phishing token or a Dusting Attack. I'm always worried about the newbies who are now coming into the crypto industry because of the hype of Bitcoin's bullish season after the halving. But for those of us who have been in the crypto world for several years or a very long time, we are no stranger to the traps of these fraudsters and will definitely be able to avoid them. But for beginners, they may not even know this at all.  And they are always vulnerable to this type of fraud.
