I think not because eth is currently used in many ICO projects while bitcoin is famous for its first coin that uses blockchain technology so many investors are more confident in bitcoin.

Ripple once beat the ethereum in its place for the second but then again it ethereum take over the second place, so there is a chance for xrp to beat eth but not the bitcoin because it has more half the marketcap of entire crypto

Ripple already over taken ethereum in past 12 months although ripple dropped that position because ripple maintained second position just few weeks . Ethereum and Bitcoin both are strong cryptocurrencies compared with ripple so ripple will not stable second or first position in cryptomarket .

Just think of Ethereum who was defeated by Ripple but for Bitcoin which is always solid at the top of the cryptocurrency number 1 it will never be defeated by any altcoins.

Yes, i think you are very correct here. Once upon a time we think that Waves coin will stable and will be bright future but day by day they gone in dogs. Now there is no bounty abut waves and here we can see there is no bounty also in XRP like ETH and BTC. So how we can believe that XRP will defect ETH and BTC?

According to the current market situation Bitcoin has 68% market capitalization in total market capitalization so Bitcoin more power than all altcoins so no one can't  beat Bitcoin .

I think ripple will not over take Bitcoin because Bitcoin has huge market capitalization than ripple so that's not possible in short term period but ripple may overtake ethereum again .
