Elon Musk Suggests Making Dogecoin a Payment Option for Twitter Blue Service

Elon would rather release his own cryptocurrency with the interest of paying for transactions at Tesla... for Twitter too, Elon's capacity is almost as big as Trump, he can create a new coin and introduce its use case for several companies that he owns, rather than having to use a decentralized memecoin that is even too common to be used to buy goods or services...

BTW... are we too naive to rely on some memecoins being adopted on large platforms and we hope for the skyrocketing of cryptocurrencies due to mass adoption? That's our dream, and even that's harder than entering an ETF...

I'm sure Elon Musk has no intention to release his won crypto. If he has the intention, he should have done it few years ago. His popularity is rising a lot in 2021, but he never has a plan to create an own crypto at that time. Even in 2022-2024, Elon Musk never stated to create any crypto coin. If he wants to accept crypto for Tesla products, I think he prefer to choose the existing coins. It may be Bitcoin, Dogecoin, or Ethereum.

What makes it naive? We discuss it for Tesla products, it is not for another platform.

Elon is very selective about doing any work and only for what makes him profitable will be done, is creating his own coin the best way? Of course, it can be, but with the mindset could an entrepreneur, and we know that the nature of adopting existing projects is very much liked by Elon, so it is unlikely to do to create a new coin that certainly needs its market.
So it's no wonder he took doge because he felt he had raised it and there was already a community of its own and the price was quite good.
Agree, that, of course, it will be something good for Doge after this information develops, but of course, not instantly.

1. TESLA is the name of someone else's company created by Nicola Tesla.
2. Adopted for Elon Musk's electric car with the name TESLA.

There are many available and there is nothing wrong with choosing one that may be considered the best.

Doge does have the upper hand as it does have a tied community and is associated with Elon for the past few years. If he is keen on taking the use of crypto into his project, definitely it would be wise to take a coin that has already been accepted in the market rather than creating one from the scratch. But there is a question: what is more, Doge can progress technically to be used on a larger scale. Currently, Doge remains as a memecoin but if there are changes or improvements that will further enhance its usability then may its position be even more powerful in the years to come.
