I'm really surprised honestly. It seems to me it is a security and they just made an exception to be less disruptive.I think laws should be changed if they no longer work but if we are going to keep those old definitions of what a security is without changing them.I am glad they ruled that is not a security it would have cause a lot of problems.
I'm really surprised honestly... It seems to me it is a security and they just made an exception to be less disruptive.. I think laws should be changed if they no longer work.. but if you're gonna keep those old definitions of what a security is without changing them... I'm dumbfounded how Ethereum isn't a security.

It seems like a really harsh reprimand for something that isn't really severe, but I also feel like people shouldn't just be able copy/paste other posts.
Ethereum deemed not a security by the SEC A top official at the SEC has officially stated that they do not define Ethereum, in its current structure, as a security. This is obviously huge news for the space, especially in the current market context. More Info : https://www.ccn.com/newsflash-sec-director-says-ether-is-not-a-security/
