Why does Btc value affect Eth

For the past weeks when the market was red, I observed that the value of Btc affects almost all altcoins,  Ethereum inclusive. Why does the valuend of Btc affect Eth

This because bitcoin is the one that represents all crypto currencies and the only crypto that has the trust of the investors.

I believe it’s because bitcoin, being the father of all crypto currencies, is the one most trusted, invested and traded by most people in the crypto markets.

When BTC goes down it doesn't only affect ETH but most altcoins. The reason is that most of them invest in these 2 coins and has made it the main form of their transaction

Well bitcoin is the mother of all digital currencies and hence it shows supremacy and dominancy over almost all the altcoins and that is why it price sometimes affects some of the altcoins.

Sorry to say but bitcoin is not the mother for it wasn't providing bitcoin 1.1, bitcoin 1.2 or bla bla bla rather it is the founder of crypto world. Correct me if I am wrong

I think one of the biggest reason is because bitcoin focusing on payment system aside from being the first crypto.

Kind of a complicated answer but bitcoin is the trunk... ethereum is the branches.. and altcoins are the leaves.. ethereum drops not because people are panic selling but people are trying to make a position trade with USD... BTC/ETH drops so ETH/USD has to drop as well or you would have an unnatural arbitrage opportunity that arbitration bots would quickly correct.

The possible reasons why bitcoin affect ethereum price and also to almost all altcoins, its because bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies and most of the big whales trusted much to bitcoin. Its price is always directly proportional to Eth and to all other altcoins.

Me too,it is not clear when bitcoin falls behind it falls everything else, although the blockchain is different and the scope is different.
