When it comes to Coinmarketcap coin/tokens ranking, it is not always a stable position because of many factors like the demand/supply principles, innovations, upgrades, community, hypes etc.
As at today, the gap between Ada and Matic is very wide, but in crypto any thing can happen. Ada is at the number seven positions with marketcap at $36.6b, while Matic is at the number 32 position with marketcap at $4b. Matic is going the EOS way.
When you have three rebrandings, two changes in what the coin was supposed to do, a full-blown bull run and you're still bleeding money, those are all clear signs nothing is going to save it, coins die every cycle, no matter how much hype is for one and how many bagholders scream and pray of better times , coins still die!

I saw it even upside down because Polygon seemed less asked for by the community because the ranking and marketcarc continued slowly, this was sad if in my opinion.
Maybe it takes a few more hypes from Bitcoin to be able to raise the entire Altcoins throughout the market including polygon coins.
