It's a new cryptocurrency, so it's very difficult to say if is a good investment or not. It maybe good in long term investment.  In addition the crypto currency has been popular and it's backed by popular pepe the frog meme.well there is no guarantee that crypto currency will continue to grow in value.

Obviously it is, and those who make money out of it could be the early investors as this was always been the case. But after that, it will be used purely for pump and dump and if you didn't do your homework, you might be trap inside.

So still very dangerous to invest on such meme coins, and it just short term. If you get profits then good, get out of it and re-invest on solid altcoins and never look back.

It has become obsolete and abandoned, also because the ETH network costs too much while Solana has a very cheap fee.
It is indeed very hype especially $WIF so extraordinary memecoins are now born on the solana network.

But now the hype of memecoin is moving to the base network and has an even cheaper cost compared to solana.
All move on and have to follow the latest trends, Pepecoin is no longer a memecoin symbol that reaches high MC, but there are many others.

I agree with the pump and dump bit - that happens with all meme coins and pepe might be no different. Meme coins have and will always be high risk, high reward investments and not suited for long-term investment strategies. So the answer to your question depends on your investment goals. If you're looking for a coin for short-term growth, pepe can be considered but if you're looking to HODL, meme coins are certainly not the altcoin category you should look into. BTC and some established crypto like SOL is where you should look for long-term investments.

Does that coin have any purpose other than to trade it and for the most skilled to make as much money as possible while persuading the naive that it is the next best thing to invest in? When the whole project is built around some frog, dog or cat, I don't consider it serious - but those behind the project must be very happy because they made a mountain of money, and everyone else should wonder if PEPE will ever be worth $1 per coin - although don't worry too much, there are still a lot of animals for some new meme coins

$PEPE is a meme coin with no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return. There is no formal team or roadmap. the coin is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.

and yet, there are still people who are buying this useless meme coin. They already said that this coin is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only, but many people are still buying it hoping that they can earn money when they buy that shitcoin. This is 100% hilarious for me, I'm buying a token base on it's use case and it's benefit from the investor ourselves. This meme coin has no roadmap nor formal team. No nothing. Pure shitcoin, but still many popular centralized exchanges chooses to list this coin.

Well, nothing against those who bought this coin, but just by knowing that it's completely useless, I know for a fact that I should avoid this coin. It's not the best investment for me, but maybe one of the worst investments. That's only my opinion though.

Fascinating, right? It just shows how disinterested the average investor is in understanding what they are actually investing in. I know, many people have profited from meme coins, but many people have also lost money while investing in meme coins.
I don't invest in meme coins, investing in Altcoins with no utility is like gambling and I wouldn't say I like gambling.

PEPE is a good investment for people that bought it at pre-sale price, you can see the OP quoted profits of 210000%, that's profit you can only see in a blue moon but considering the fact that it's a meme coin, I will never rate it above any Fork Bitcoin like Bitcoin cash and the rest of the forks, meme coins are cancer to crypto but people love what they love even though you shout from now to tomorrow.

Anyone can buy meme coin for all they want but just know that it's not that meme coin you think can buy you Lamborghini will be, most of the time, it's the coin you don't expect to pump will actually pump.
