Although the team has all top-order batsmen, the same things reapted Jamie Smith at 3rd overs. A little while later, we see the competitions among England's players. South Africa easily reached the runs of 179 losses, only 3 wickets from only 29.1 overs. This tournament was bad luck for England. They can't win a single match.

I think one of the reasons behind the loss in this match is again the irresponsible batting performance of the England team which they have done in the past. In particular I think their top order batsmen have played very badly throughout this series and even though they tried they failed.
Overall, this England team is not as strong as the previous England team, and that is why they lost all the matches in this tournament shamefully. I am actually worried about the future of the England team.

I wouldn't say both the openers cause Duckett gets going every few matches which imo is good enough while especially Phil Salt as an opener has been performing poor consistently so he should be deffo looked into. Brook has also been failing, and is not good for English middle order strength.

I wouldn't say both the openers cause Duckett gets going every few matches which imo is good enough while especially Phil Salt as an opener has been performing poor consistently so he should be deffo looked into. Brook has also been failing, and is not good for English middle order strength.

Phil Salt's consistent poor performance in the England team has made me think about his place. His batting in the last 3 matches has been very disappointing. Phil Salt's score against Australia was only 10. His score against Afghanistan was 12 and against South Africa was 8. As an opener, I think he should have batted more responsibly.

Auckland won the toss and choose to batting first against Canterbury in Dunedin. The ford Trophy, Auckland set the target in 50 over 250 score on the board. Lachlan Stackpole is the top scoring 58 with 3 fours and 3 six, Simon Keene also made a significant contribution, scoring 48 runs off 49 deliveries with 6 boundaries. Canterbury's aggressive batting paid off, scoring 245 runs with 4 wickets lost in 46 overs, successfully chasing the target set by Auckland. Mitchell Hay is unbeating score 86 off 76 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 six. Henry Nicholls also played a vital role in the innings, scoring 52 runs with 7 boundaries.

I was expecting England to win even against Australia, England put 351 target here, and if it wasn't enough they were also able to get Head and Smith early, still I was flabbergasted how Aussies did it.

Well surprisingly that time T.head not become the head ache for Indian team and that's why things were become a bit smooth while chasing. King kohli played the main role while chasing for his team and out of no where divert results for his team in such crucial semifinals stage. Australian try thier best to put decent number on board but due to lack of quality bowling they unable to defend that target and unfortunately knocked out of the tournament

Yeh at early he was looking in a bit trouble as his partner got departure very early but then as soon as he got momentum, he smashed each and bowlers and it was look like once again he will put entire indian team in huge trouble, but thank GOD Varun departure him before things goes out of hand. Honestly it's third consecutive time for Indian team to played icc tournament final which  is phenomenal. Anyway new Zealand out huge number on board which looks like impossible for South African to match so in my view black caps are in final against India.

South Africa had some provability in the match at the beginning but it gradually waned particularly after 25 overs as the pressure of runs and the fall of wickets made it impossible for them to win the match. If they could have kept their wickets and played 30 overs then there was a chance of a change in the match but unfortunately they lost to New Zealand's Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips. If New Zealand could have restricted South Africa to 320 then they could have easily won the match but they failed there and the team could not live up to the expectations in batting.

SA top order did well, when they were playing they were trying to keep up with required run rate, but as top order departed and then soft dismissal of Markram and things started looking bad for SA.

It was batting pitch, may be SA could have played Stubbs instead of Maharaj — I never really found Maharaj a good spinner and Stubbs can part time bowl too, so it might have been better for proteas, but oh well what ifs are useless now.

Now on 9th march it Gona be a tough final clash for champions trophy between black caps and indian team. No doubt indian were looking a dominance side in every field, morever they have advantage to played rest of his matches in same venue but looking to kiwis history from 2000 till now they didn't won any single icc tournament which is hallarious while compared to them indian won several and back to back qualify for finals too for a third time. So things were favoring indian but anything can be happened as it depends on current day performance but not past stats or history.

Kiwis have won WTC title in 2021 by defeating India. There are deffo not a team to be taken lightly, they have been through many semis and some finals and they aren't in final this time around either for no reason.

Everyone in South Africa has tried but they are unlucky. They can compete and come to the top position but they end up losing in the end. This is the situation that South Africa has seen in many big tournaments. But it must be admitted that the team is quite strong. If their top Order could have batted well, then everyone would not have had to bat. They could have won the match before the stipulated overs. But I am confident that the team will improve further in the the next tournament.
