Kroos plays like that because of his long time experience in football and I believe that if those young ones are playing continuously as time goes on they will improve their performance and play better as a good midfielder. Ancelotti is there to train the boys and bring out the best in them while he will play Modric more and substitute him with a young player for the main time till the club decides to get a replacement for Kroos.
