It will be more difficult if they have to look for players suddenly when the mainstay player has left. For example, what happened to Paris Saint Germain when their flagship player left. They are having a really hard time finding a player who can replace him, because they didn't do that before when this player was still in the squad.

PSG owner is just a knucklehead and shouldn't be anywhere near owning a football, he clearly doesn't understand what it means to want to build a huge club where the biggest and best players in the world would want to play and stay there, getting these have not always been their problem, but it's tougher to have the plays stay simply because the club lacks proper futuristic plans and vision, that's why they got Sergio Ramos, Messi, Neymar and Mbappe all together in their team, players who have won almost every trophy available in football, but you can't convince such players to stay when it's obvious that the club is a wrecking ship and would rather just keep changing coaches every fortnight rather than have a proper road map for their aim and objectives, get a coach that shares the same ideology and build around him for a couple of years to see better results. They just want it all overnight, and they're paying dearly for it right now!
I think it's too much when they are called stupid people, I'm sure they understand it's just that they don't want to do something that they should do. They prefer to make money as a tool for them to achieve success, even though it ends in failure.

They just need to evaluate and realize that what they have been doing all this time is something wrong, when they are willing to accept that they are wrong in managing this team, then I'm sure they will be better.

Exactly and trying to make money the only tool to achieve success is why I called them knuckleheads, Man City for instance are almost of the same parent or child own club right ? but look at how the affairs are being run at Man City, they spend billions and also make players sell earning almost more than the spend on players while being very successful in terms of winning trophy and making themselves one of the giant teams in Europe and the same goes for Real Madrid, and this only happen because they have the right people at the helm of affairs not just someone who want money to make every problem go away, money can only buy you players not goals on the football pitch, that's why every PSG built keeps crumbling every other year.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, Modric once said that in the future, he still doesn't know what club he will go to after leaving Real Madrid. However, he once said in an interview that he wanted to retire at Real Madrid. Maybe this is actually his last year at Real Madrid and also as a football player.

Quote
🚨 Luka Modrić: “The decision on my future is made but I can't tell you yet”.

“I have always said I want to retire at Real Madrid, this is what I really want”.

“This would be a dream, this is my home, the club of my life. I want a farewell like Toni Kroos”, told

It is true that Modric once spoke like that, namely that he really wanted to retire at the club that made his name, namely Real Madrid. And I think this season could be his last season. But his decision could change if next season he really breaks up with Real Madrid but then gets a big offer from an Arab club. But I think Modric can hold his wishes firmly. T.Kroos has now completely retired. Even though he is still 34 years old. And maybe next season Modric can also follow suit. And retiring at the age of 39 is actually an extraordinary thing. Moreover, it is at a big club like Real Madrid. because rarely do people get the opportunity to retire at a big club like Real Madrid. Even some of the legendary players in the past mostly retired at ordinary clubs and not at big clubs.
Yes, both are part of Real Madrid legendary. And Modric is the last player in his era who is in Real Madrid until now. While other top players in his era have moved or retired, considering his age, it makes sense that next season he might really retire like Kross. Yes, we just have to wait and see what his decision is next season. Because I'm sure it's already on his mind but it's not the main thing, because for now, he must focus on his performance to continue contributing to Real Madrid, and of course as a person who is trusted as the club captain too.

If compared to Manchester City or Real Madrid, clearly we will see the difference in how they manage this team, yes they can't manage this team so well, so that until now they are one of the big teams that get a lot of criticism.

They should be able to change their perspective after some failures they feel with the same thing. But until now they have not been able to realize that which makes them continue as we see now.

I don't think there is anything more to be said that he hasn't said already, that this surely would be his final season playing football, it was obvious that the age is already telling on him and they best way to go is with heads held up high.

He might not even play for the National team again, the next world is 2 years away and next Euro is even further, but if he partake pretty well in Euro Nations league and World cup qualifiers, perhaps he could still have one more world cup appearance left in him to make.

Modric is considered to be the oldest signed player Real Madrid have had. He joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2012, for a five-year contract at first before the contract deal kept getting renewed over and over. The five-year contract deal was €30 million.

From 2012 till now, it's completely 12 years Modric has stayed in Real Madrid. Modric plan is to retire in Real Madrid. I believe he should be doing that before the start of the 2024/2025 season.

What I like about Modric is that this player is able to maintain the quality of his game even when he is no longer young. He is also always loyal to Real Madrid and he doesn't even mind a salary reduction or something like that. He just wants to keep playing for Real Madrid. And now he has bigger responsibilities as captain. And I think next season could indeed be his last season at Real Madrid and his best season here.

Yes, Modric performance is always good. Even if he is not young anymore, he knows how to play in a good level. It is difficult to play in Modric level when a player is already 38 years old. I also really appreciate it.

No doubt, Modric is a loyal player. He never left Real Madrid although Saudi clubs are interested in him. If Modric wants to get huge salary, he must already move to Saudi league but he prefers to stay in Real Madrid. He also can accept whatever the decision made by Ancelotti, he never feel unsatisfied although he must be in the bench in some matches. Sure, he deserves to be a Real Madrid captain.

If you look at the typical game, what is similar to Kross is Cavaminga, who in fact is considered to be strong enough for both defensive and attacking types, his position is also as Central Midfield. Meanwhile, someone who looks like Modric is Valverde, where he is more of an attacking force and sets the tempo. For Tchouaméni, his original position is actually Defensive Midfield, but because so far the back line, especially the center back, has often been affected by injuries or other things, he is quite often positioned as the Center Back.
Both players between Camavinga and Toni Kroos have many similar but one difference only with Camavinga can't perfect well with long pass reach accuracy more than 95% did by Toni Kroos on every match.
But Camavinga have strong defend and play well with two position as holding midfielder and some time Ancelotti put him as left defender.
Of course, experience can't lie, experience explains everything. Kross has had a lot of experience since he was with some previous Real Madrid legends. And he also has a different personal talent from the others. We can't equate his level of ability with other players. However, Cavaminga is the most suitable and appropriate player to be in his position for now, because after all, Kross' era is over at Real Madrid and the club must continue to fight for various difficult matches in the future. And Ancelotti entrusts that position, one of which is for Cavaminga.

Carlo Ancelotti still not announce yet the new sign after success get Mbappe's sign, seems many position have back up with new players exactly on defender after leaving by Nacho and Madrid must find new replacement have good qualities.
Ancelotti and Real Madrid are indeed quite well-known for not rushing to take players. They did not force to get one of the players. Their negotiations are also quite careful, if they really want the player, then they will do it, but that does not mean forcing the conditions. Because they believe, most of the players they are targeting, are usually players who also want to move to the giant La Liga club. For now, there are still rumors regarding negotiations to Saliba and also maybe some other players but officially, it is not clear how it will continue. Let's just wait whether the transfer will be successful or not.

Real Madrid like other big teams also overpay for players especially if the player's current contract doesn't include a release that could be triggered, but one thing Real Madrid always make certainty with is ensuring that even if they player they willing to sign is costly, the player have to be also very marketable that's why that they are one of the richest clubs in terms of revenues being made off a newly signed players, each of their big signings are always highly unveiled making in it a huge event and almost making back whatever they've paid for the player by sales of jerseys and other merchandise alone.

And this also gives us proof that Real Madrid can always make the players they have there feel at home at the club. And the coming season could be the last season for this player who is no longer young. And I would be surprised if in the 2025-26 season Modric still stays at Real Madrid. And I think that will be a new record there. Modric may not be in the starting eleven often in the coming season. But he will definitely still play as well as possible every time he is given playing time.

Yes, we just have to wait and see what his decision is next season. Because I'm sure it's already on his mind but it's not the main thing, because for now, he must focus on his performance to continue contributing to Real Madrid, and of course as a person who is trusted as the club captain too.
He might not even play for the National team again, the next world is 2 years away and next Euro is even further, but if he partake pretty well in Euro Nations league and World cup qualifiers, perhaps he could still have one more world cup appearance left in him to make.
Yes, for his career in national football, the team won the EURO yesterday, which was his last participation. That's why when his team was eliminated, he became very emotional at that time. And this was indeed a difficult decision for him. However, age cannot lie about that. And as I said before, for the club, he once said to retire at Real Madrid, oh well, we'll just have to see how it goes after his contract ends next season. Because at Real Madrid itself, his contract was extended for the next 1 year only.

Modric is considered to be the oldest signed player Real Madrid have had. He joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2012, for a five-year contract at first before the contract deal kept getting renewed over and over. The five-year contract deal was €30 million.
Yes, he is a legend at Real Madrid, has experienced various eras of football. He has even been at Real Madrid longer than Kross who has retired before. We know the legendary trio at Real Madrid for the midfield, Kross, Modric, and Casemiro for the Real Madrid midfield which can be said to be very strong. And only Modric is left at Real Madrid for now. That's why, he really is the oldest and longest player at Real Madrid for now. And this is one of the reasons why Ancelotti made him the team captain.

Ancelotti and Real Madrid are indeed quite well-known for not rushing to take players. They did not force to get one of the players. Their negotiations are also quite careful, if they really want the player, then they will do it, but that does not mean forcing the conditions.
Well, Real Madrid is sometimes known to buy players at very high prices. However, it can be said that it is very worth it, because it is one of the right strategies for Real Madrid, at least they always buy players who have very high potential to be able to contribute to the club optimally. They don't buy a pig in a poke. And they are not in a hurry to make a done deal. However, if the price according to Real Madrid is unreasonable or does not match what they expect, then Real Madrid will not push too hard to get it.

So far in La Liga, here is a list of some of the biggest transfers in La Liga.

When you rush the player, the club increases the price and stay on that. If you look at what happened last season that prevented Mbappe from joining the club was based on price and PSG never wanted to release him but as his deal was over, Real Madrid bought him at their own price.

This is the genius of Real Madrid, they did want Mbappe but they knew that they could get him on a free transfer which they knew after Mbappe rejected a contract extension with Paris Saint Germain.

Real Madrid knew very well that they were in a hurry so they had to spend a lot of money to buy Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain, therefore they were patient to wait. Besides, they still had a solid squad at that time.

Even though Barcelona has prepared money to bring in Nico Williams and has made a pretty good offer. Even the player's agent seems to have agreed as well as the club. But it seems that this transfer cannot be carried out quickly because the player still seems to need time to think and has not yet made a decision and Barcelona even gave a warning to the player. Nico Williams seems to still be at home at his current club. Maybe other players would immediately accept the offer from Barcelona, but this player seems to have many considerations that make it difficult for him to make a decision.
