In my opinion, whether or not a team deserves to appear in the Champions League is up to them. The reason is that even if they are worthy because they are considered a team that can provide competition, if they can't get a place in the domestic league to achieve that, it won't be useful either.

For me, everything is also worth it, as long as they can show they can play well and one of the indicators is that they can be worthy of playing in the Champions League, by occupying the slot to go to the Champions League in the domestic league.

It seems you misunderstood what I said. I mean like this, if a team plays very well but they can't be in the top 4 for example (depending on a slot from a league to go to the Champions League) then will they be able to force themselves to play in the Champions League? no, right.

However, if there is a team that is considered to be playing normally but they are able to finish in the Champions League zone, then they will still play there. So it's up to them, what I mean is whether they are able to penetrate the Champions League zone or not.
