The numbers is really against the Wolves here, they really have a big chance in this series to make it at least, but they blow the first two games and I think that is the final nail in the coffin for them. Although they won the last game, recovering from a 0-3 hasn't been done before by any team in the NBA. The best thing they can do is to force a game 7, but then the Luka will not let this team down and doesn't want to be the first team in history to blow a 3-1 lead and lost. There are reports that Lively will be back in the line up, so that will be a big problem on the Wolves as Lively contributes big in this series with his rebounds and those easy points in the paid because of Luka or Kyrie's lob pass which is un stoppable.

And there you go mate, the Mavericks have advanced to the Finals. The Wolves just couldn't solve the Luka puzzle which exploded right on the get-go. Not yet time ANT but for sure he will have his moments on the years to come but not now as Kyrie Irving is on a mission to give Luka his first ring in the NBA.

Funny how Luka and Kyrie both scored 36 points while ANT and KAT dropped 28 points each. The point difference between the key players of each team almost made up the gap in total score.

Anyway, I'm glad that at least my bets on this series ended up with a win.

Not yet time ANT but for sure he will have his moments on the years to come but not now.
He made crucial errors that cost them the series but yeah, he's still young. Hopefully, the Wolves management don't make too much changes to the team.

Well, Luka made them like they're just one of the teams who're like an average on defensive rating. They forgot that the Wolves are the best defensive team in the NBA during the regular season, and yet they just can't stop him in offense. Kyrie had a bad night in Game 4 when they lost, but that doesn't matter.

Till this day, I still don't know if the Gobert trade is a win-win for them. Don't want to throw shots with him, but there are instances where he's having a hard time defending the paint. Heck, even Luka danced with him in Game 2 and can't guard him in the final seconds of the game hence, making that 3-pt shoot in front of him. The Wolves team as a whole is a good defensive team, but for me, he doesn't deserve that DPOY title. Most overrated player indeed.

Anyway, it's the Celtics and Mavericks in the NBA Finals. During the 2 regular season games, the Celtics won in both games. Which duo will succeed in getting a title. Will it be Tatum & Brown or Luka & Kyrie. What's your prediction? For me, I'll go with Mavericks in 7 games. :)

Yeah, and another great win for the fans of Dallas here, as I have said, no team has bounce back from a 0-3 deficit and Luka doesn't want to extend the series any longer and finally Dallas is back in the finals, last time they were here was with Dirk and beating the Miami Heat by Bron and Dwade.

So it's a big task for them, nevertheless they will be the underdog here so we should continue to support them as NBA bettors as the odds are going to be very attractive. Handicap starts at +/-4.5.

Same, going to bet for the Dallas Mavericks in this series, good thing though that they are the underdog in this series with an odds of 2.85 as of this writing. The Mavs will be the bigger, quicker and younger team versus the Celtics so this is a easy pick at least for me.

There are some questions that are coming to my mind when it comes to the Celtics.
1. Will Porzingis play the whole NBA Finals?
2. How will Jrue Holiday defend Luka Doncic? Or will he successfully defend Luka and potentially decrease his playoff stats.

If Porzingis will play in the whole NBA Finals (it's his first time if that happens), it might be a huge factor towards the Celtics defense in the paint because of how tall he is and how he can stretch the defense of the Mavericks with his ability to shoot. TBH, both Gafford and Lively might have a disadvantage against him because I expect that both of them will guard KP at least for most of the game.

We know how excellent Holiday is as a defender and with this one, it's no doubt that he will guard Doncic. The question is how good he is at defending Luka. Will he be the one that can stop Luka for scoring 30+ points every game? Will he be the one that can stop him and decrease his efficiency? Because if he cannot then I don't think that the Celtics can win. Like KP, he also has a big role in this series, and if they want to win, he must guard Luka at all times.

Both KP and Holiday have big roles in this NBA Finals. I didn't specify Tatum and Brown because we know what they will do in the court. Still, I'll go with Mavericks in 7 games whatever happens. :)

KP will be a factor in this Finals if he is 100 percent healthy and the Mavs' Washington will be the one task in guarding him just like how the latter guard Karl Anthony Towns of the Wolves. Maybe the playing time of Lively here will be limited as Horford will be on the outside so the middle will be open for the driving Tatum and Brown.

This is an exciting Finals and like you, i'll be betting for Mavs to win this year's Finals.

I do agree, KP will be a big difference specially if he comeback from that calf injury and be the same in this finals and then put up a show against the rookie Lively or even Gafford, that will be great to see that kind of matchup.

Another matchup that I'm looking is Kyrie against Holiday or White. Kyrie has the handles and has the speed advantage, but we all know that this two are a great defender so it's going to be a great battle and seeing Kyrie penetrating and doing that lefty again.  ;D

Is there anyone who do friendly P2P betting with peers or office mates? The people I've been talking to are afraid of taking on the Mavs side and that's probably because of KP playing in the Finals. Debates and arguments were balance for both teams before but now, they want a +1 game handicap ;D

I looked at the minutes they played against the Timberwolves and they're almost the same. 24.6 MPG for Gafford and 22 MPG for Lively.

I think Coach Jason Kidd will continue this strategy that he will give almost identical minutes to his big players unless he sees that somebody has a disadvantage over Porzingis then that player might have a lesser playing time. Either way, I believe that KP will stretch the defense of these 2 since he can shoot threes as well.

As for matchups, I believe that Holiday will focus more on Luka while White will be on Irving. If one of them got into foul trouble, you still have Brown and Tatum to do their job since they're good defenders as well.

Lol, +1 game handicap is too much. I've got a friendly bet with my office mate with no handicap at all, he is siding with the Dallas Mavericks while i'm for the Celtics. The Mavs are used of guarding tall power forwards as what they have done to KAT and Chet Holgrem so i think the Mavs can contain KP decently in this series.

I think the best bet of the 1st game is the over. Boston being the 2nd highest scoring team in the NBA this year and Dallas regularly scores 100+ every game. 0214.5 seems like a no brainer IMO.

If you don't like betting over unders, I might consider taking the points and Dallas in game 1. It's going to be a battle and I feel like Dallas will keep it close.

But I love to see how KP will do against Lively and Gafford here, another key match up that I'm also looking. And it will also makes a big difference as KP or even Horford are good perimeter shooter.

I will be leaning towards the over in this game, if Boston goes on their usual high scoring, Dallas will have no choice but to keep tabs with them. Luka's scoring at will, he even had a logo 3 in the last game. While Irving was unstoppable with his drive and penetration inside and finished it with a left hand.
If you don't like betting over unders, I might consider taking the points and Dallas in game 1. It's going to be a battle and I feel like Dallas will keep it close.
But it's really hard for Dallas to steal game 1. I'm feeling that it's going to be a battle, back and forth and in the end, the Boston Celtics might win this game by 5 points or less.

And that's why the Celtics are the favorites here because they have a deeper bench and good defensive players, both Holiday and White will have a lot of work to do, and they could guard Luka and Irving, whoever suits for them.

But I love to see how KP will do against Lively and Gafford here, another key match up that I'm also looking. And it will also makes a big difference as KP or even Horford are good perimeter shooter.
Don't forget the fact that they are the best three-point shooting team in these playoffs as well. They're the best, and they have the most attempts as well. This is why the Celtics are the clear favorites to win it all. They have this "Live by the three, die by the three" motto where they can just shoot threes everywhere and just for context, 8 players of the Celtics can shoot threes and has shoot 10 or more in each series in the playoffs. This just shows how good they are in three-point area.

As for KP, he will stretch the defense of both Gafford and Lively, and that will leave the paint open for other players as well. KP can shoot threes which is a threat for both of them, and if the Mavericks will put a smaller one to him, he will just blow by him or make perimeter shots. He wasn't called "the Unicorn" a few years ago for no reason. He's capable to step up when needed. It's only the injuries that hinders him from becoming an all-star unfortunately.
