Reports surfacing is that the Warriors preparing a max contract offer for PG. With transfer rumors like that, it looks like they are ready to let go of Klay at anytime.

Thompson's contract with the Warriors has already expired. In other words, Klay is a free agent, and if the rumors about PG are true, it will really affect the negotiations between Thompson and Warriors management. I think Thompson just won't accept the role on the team that he will be offered if the Warriors sign PG.

Steve Kerr and GM Dunleavy says that their priority is still Klay Thompson, but obviously Klay with have to work with them in fair manner, we have seen his performance somewhat going down in the regular season and it could be one reason why Klay will be offered money that he might not be satisfied.

And so they will have to go to their Plan B which is to chase PG here if Klay negotiations goes down. So still a win-win for the Warriors whichever player they got as both Klay and PG will still be a good addition to them. Although getting PG might cost them some of the players that are included in their rotations like Wiggins and Kuminga.

I don't know what will happen with Klay now that his contract expires already. The best thing that he can do is to sign a veteran's contract if possible or at least the most minimum contract that he can get just to open up cap space for PG13, and in that way, he is still with Dray and Steph. On the other hand, many teams are also interested with him so he can become a free agent and get contract with other teams. That will happen if Klay chooses money over his fellow trio partners.

I want Klay to be humble this time and get a minimum contract to the Warriors just to get PG with them. In that way, that increases their chances of at least going to the playoffs especially now that the West is fully stacked with All-star players.

And they did what many are expecting, drafting Bronny via the 55th pick. With this move by the Lakers, i could say that they are puppet to Lebron and afraid that he might leave them for another team. As for Lebron, his dream of playing together with his boy has come to reality.

It was so predictable that it's not even surprising at all. Honestly, I don't really like the trend in the NBA of an all-star player abusing his influence and pushing his relative onto the team. Giannis and his brother did it before, and now LeBron and his son. This is probably the biggest transfer saga so far since the Free Agency window opened, as the Atlanta Hawks have traded Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans for Larry Nance Jr, Dyson Daniels and two first round picks of from the highly anticipated 2025 NBA draft. This surely would mark the start of era for the Hawks as Dejounte Murray was their second biggest star, I guess the club decided to move into building around Trae Young again, but they needed a trade involving Dejounte Murray or Trae Young in order to get the best space within their salary cap and chase other players that should be available as free agents.

And they did what many are expecting, drafting Bronny via the 55th pick. With this move by the Lakers, i could say that they are puppet to Lebron and afraid that he might leave them for another team. As for Lebron, his dream of playing together with his boy has come to reality.

I seen an article on facebook that Bronny was pulling an Eli Manning. Bronny basically said that if any team besides the Lakers drafted him, he would just go play in Australia.

Personally, I feel like we baby these athletes. They whine and cry for new contracts when their existing contracts aren't even up. They act entitled about everything. It's all about the money, so leagues allow it. Just think about what they are teachiung the younger generation though.

They got Nance Jr as well, so another good addition in the role player position that can give them both offense and defense presence. They need to have someone to cover for Clint Capella as well, specially if he goes to the bench to take a breather. For Bronny, yeah, it's pure nepotism I guess that he was drafted by Lakers because of the influence of his father.

I believe nepotism have always been in the NBA for years now, it's always been a part of the league, I mean if not, why would Thanasis Antetokounmpo be on the Milwaukee Bucks roster, he's not even good enough for a G-league team.

The whole play here is just so Lebron can play with his son, and in my opinion it's the least he could ask for given how much and how well he's contributed to the league, and let's not take away anything from Bronny's potential either, I mean he's not asking for any preferential treament, and according to the news he's not even getting a standard contract, it's a two deal, so regardless of being draft out of nepotism or not, Bronny would still have to putting in the work to get anywhere near the Lakers roster imo.

Agree, Hawks is not going anywhere with the tandem of Trae Young and Murray so they will have to try Risacher. This is a risky project for the Hawks but with the athleticism and good handle of the ball, i think this project will blossom in the next few years.

On the other hand, Splash Bros no more as Klay Thompson was traded to the Dallas Mavericks while PG13 goes to the Sixers. Exciting season ahead of us bettors.

The duo of Murray and Young had a win-loss record of below .500 (can't remember the exact record though), but it just shows that they aren't complimenting with each other hence, they need to trade one of them and they choose Murray. "From a Hawk to now a Pelican"

TBH, I will not also be surprised if the Hawks will undergo into a rebuilding phase and will also trade Trae Young to get draft picks and some players. With their number 1 pick, there's a chance that they will build around him. Let's see how the Hawks management will make some adjustments, but I believe Young will get traded as well soon.

I'm not sure that the Hawks management will start rebuilding the team so abruptly. Otherwise, they will be at the bottom of the standings for the next couple of seasons. It's worth noting that Young has 2 more seasons left on his current contract, and it seems to me that the Hawks won't trade him until at least next offseason.

I didn't see this coming. I always thought that PG would be willing to sacrifice his salary for another run at a title but it seems he's trying to maximize his remaining years as a competitive player. Things with the Clippers might not have worked out but it's still a win-win situation for him because he landed on a decent team

That is true, he wanted to make the most money and probably at least a last run with Joel Embiid in the Philly uniform, and so that is a good choice. I think the Clippers are still good with Harden though, they sign him for another 2 years so they still have a good franchise player with Kahwi.

And then Thompson as what we have expected are going to leave the Warriors as he join Luka in Dallas. Good addition to them, and a big lost for the Warriors, but let's see what the Warriors will do, maybe they will get someone in the middle position or a top  caliber center and not trade Kuminga and Wiggins.

If that's the case, then they will try to compete again next season, but now instead of having Murray, they will have Risacher as his duo. TBH, I don't expect too much from a rookie player since they're still rookies. Wemby is an exception for that of course because he's just an alien came out of nowhere. I'll keep my expectations low for this year's top 1 pick - or at least the Hawks will not clinch the playoffs again this season.

The top 3 teams that really wanted PG are the Clippers, the Warriors and the Sixers so this is no surprise (at least for me).
PG don't want to return to the Clippers anymore hence, he opted out in his contract. The Warriors wanted PG13 in their team, but they don't want to include Kuminga in the package, but the Clippers wanted him thus, no deal has been done. Sixers has the cap space enough for a 3rd star, and now they got one already.

It's funny reading an article covering the interview with Bronny. He's still a teenager but it looks like he's already being coached on how he answers questions related to playing with his Lebron.

“I’m … trying to get my name out for myself,” Bronny said Tuesday. “I just want to come in and get my work in and get better every day. I never really had a thought of me going to play with my dad. That’s always there to take part of, but it wasn’t a main focus of mine.”

Like it's the reason why he was even drafted.

This quote from his interview sounds like a memorized phrase. In any case, it will be clear at the end of next season if he has any prospects in the league. Honestly, I'm skeptical about his future in the NBA because he failed to prove himself in the NCAA, which means it will be even more difficult for him to do so in the NBA.
