So if I'm Lebron just focused on his NBA career, he had the record already, he looks healthy. But we all know that father time is undefeated and sooner or later he will slow down and will have to retire. So just continue to build his legacy and not totally look at the Olympics in the next 4 years.

We can only guess what LeBron's plans are for the next few years and whether he will play at the same level. However, it's worth noting that if he plays 4 more seasons, he will probably be close to reaching the 50k points in his career. In that case, his record will be unattainable, although even his current record is already an unattainable goal for almost all NBA players.
Even the 40K point record is very hard already to achieve for a player even though we are in an era where offense is more focused than defense. It's still hard to break even though we are in an era where some teams are prioritizing threes than twos.

As for Le-GM, his point record will not be broken that's for sure. His lowest average PPG in a single season was in his rookie season where he averaged 20.9 PPG. He didn't averaged less than 20 PPG in a single season ever. The closest one that can break that record is Luka and Giannis, but even both of them will need to play more than 20 season to at least come near to it. Overall, it will not be broken. Despite all of that, I will still not consider him the GOAT though. :D

Consistency is usually the problem for these young folks, they either do drugs and get drunk wait too much, if you look at LeBron for those 20 years played, how matches has he missed, he’s managed to keep fit season after season, not because he doesn’t played hard ball, but you can’t tell how much attention he’s put into his health either by diets, workout and what have you, no one gets that lucky to be consistent for that long, that’s why the likes of Messi and CR7 are also commended in football world, they make a lot of sacrifices to attain the level of success they have right now.

Yes, LeBron is disciplined in terms of health. However, it's worth noting that there are types of injuries that can happen to any player regardless of his health and fitness level. In that regard, LeBron has definitely been fortunate that he hasn't had any really serious injuries throughout his career.

Yeah, I'd quite agree that some injuries are rather very unpredictable, and one can't be too careful enough to avoid such unfortunate incidence, for instance like that of the so called "biggest what if" in the NBA, that is, Derrick Rose, an unfortunate injury that led to his career taking a turn for the worse, or look at what Victor Oladipo have been facing for the past few years now, the same goes for Lonzo Ball, but as for the recovery and healing process it some times comes down to the effort the player puts into it, because there are often a lot of dos and don'ts that needs extreme attention too.

This is what is separating him from younger players out there. Maybe his style of working out is what made him very active, and very prone to injury despite him at 39 years old. I mean dude is dominating at the Olympics right now, and he's getting more minutes than other younger players out there. Maybe we can say that he's the most disciplined in terms of health, and in the whole league in terms of exercising as well.

I guess it's time for other players to at least copy what exercises he is doing so that they can be like him, right?

I wouldn't say he's getting more minutes. If you look at the US team stats, you'll notice that almost all players get an average of 20 minutes. In a particular game, Lebron or some other player may get a little more minutes, but it should be noted that it's quite justified in the case of Lebron because he is the leader in terms of efficiency per game.
By the way, the USA vs. Brazil game is now coming to an end, and it looks like the USA team will face the Serbia team in the semifinals after that.

It's the advancement of medical science that might have prolonged Lebron's James body and somewhat keep it preserved even at his age. And probably genetics as well, he hadn't had serious injuries like Kobe specially in the knee and achilles.

So even if the young guys follow his regimen, it might be completely a very different result. And we can say that Lebron is just a freak of nature as well as he was able to stay in the league for 20 years and still almost the same when he joined. So it ever he slows down, it is marginal as compare to let's say Vince or Kobe entering their 18++ seasons, those guys have seen better days already, and with the wear and tear.

I've read articles that spent millions of dollars just to keep his body in a competitive state and i think he is the only one doing that (i might be wrong) and i also agree that part of the reason why he last this long in the NBA is he didn't sustain major injuries. For me, he still has a year or two in the association before being a liability on the defensive end but kudos to him for staying fit and still be able to compete with the young guns in the NBA or in the international basketball event.

That is true mate, and we have seen his investments as well as his body is not injury prone or at least preserving it so that he can still play high level basketball even if he nearing 40 years of age.

Just like in the Olympics, he can still play with the young guns the same in the NBA. And I don't remember if he was ever in the so called minute restrictions in the NBA. He didn't play when he was really injured as compare to being sit out by his coach because he didn't want to risk injury to him.

Now that men's basketball Olympics is over, we head back to the free agency. Nothing new so far and the latest was Westbrook signing a two-year $6.8 Million contract with the Nuggets. Another low salary for his caliber but I guess this man just wants to win his first ring.

Right now, Westbrook is more of a role player right now than an all-star player. It's just sad to see that his career got ruined when he got traded to the Lakers. I believe that with Westbrook, Jokic now has a teammate that will help him in playmaking. I mean Westbrook still averaged 4.5 APG last season so at least that's a big help still.

This is also to deepen their bench because with the loss of Bruce Brown and Jeff Green a few seasons ago, their 2nd unit isn't that good anymore. Well, I hope that they will still get more role players that can help them win another title again.

I think this news was over weeks already, as far as I know the latest is Lauri Markkanen signing a massive contract with the Jazz witht $238 million. There are reports in prior months that the Warriors are very much interested on his services and I thought that the Warriors management are going with this trade. However, it says that they don't want to include Brandin Podziemski as they value this rookie. So good money for Lauri Markkanen. One of a kind big man, it's like a version of Dirk.

As for the Olympics, yeah it was historic, Lebron, Curry and KD saving their legacies with a big win against host nation France to win the gold medal. Same with their women's too, winning the gold medal as well.

It would be great to see these tri playing for the Golden State Warriors next season, is that possible?  ;D

But i don't think that Lebron would play for the other team as he has yet to fulfill his dream of playing alongside his son Bronny with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Speaking of Lakers, is it true that they have now Jonas Valencuenas on their roster? If this is true then Lakers will be stronger at the 5 position this season.

We have seen Curry and KD already in Warriors uniform, winning 2 titles.

But i don't think that Lebron would play for the other team as he has yet to fulfill his dream of playing alongside his son Bronny with the Los Angeles Lakers.

I don't think that Lebron will move out of Lakers, he will still have some years and for sure he wanted to play with his son along the way to make history again.

Speaking of Lakers, is it true that they have now Jonas Valencuenas on their roster? If this is true then Lakers will be stronger at the 5 position this season.

This has been a on going rumor. And so far it's not yet official, but we all know that when there's smoke there is fire. So let's see Jonas could be a good addition to the Lakers so that AD will really play the position that he like which is PG and he is good at that. Last year they had a experiment wherein Jaxson Hayes plays the center position but he is soft and very young and it's hard to see him guarding the likes of Jokic or Joel Embiid in the post.

Just leave it to your imagination, hehehe.

But i don't think that Lebron would play for the other team as he has yet to fulfill his dream of playing alongside his son Bronny with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He will be a Lakers until he retires, I do not see him going to other teams.

Speaking of Lakers, is it true that they have now Jonas Valencuenas on their roster? If this is true then Lakers will be stronger at the 5 position this season.

Report says that after Jonas was acquired by the Washington Wizard, he could be traded in December to the Lakers. So we will see what will be the package as the Wizards might want future drafts that Lakers doesn't want to risk.
