I doubt that. A guy as competitive and as active as him would not want to go out silently. Since he's still good physically, he'll still attempt to get at least one more ring and it doesn't matter if it's with the Lakers or with another team. I see him having his own last dance season before hanging it up.

Yes, probably that is the "silent deal" with Lebron staying with the Lakers for the rest of his career by drafting his son Bronny with the team. And with that the Lakers can assumed that Lebron is not going to leave but will attempt this season to get another ring.

We have seen how competitive he is during the Olympics and he was one of those guy that are instrumental in carrying them to win the Gold medal. Probably the Gold winning USA team is resting, but for sure in a week or two they might be back again in the gym and going into the motions of training very hard for the upcoming season.

He is going to wait till Bronny will be drafted and obviously the Lakers wil do it for Lebron. And so I do not think that he will finished his season, we have seen that he can still play high level basketball at his age and not going to slow down in the next 2-5 years.

And with Bronny, he could be motivated to really play that hard day in day out.

Lakers is going to be a strong contender in the West regardless if they drafted Bronny or not. Although they will attract a lot of attention this coming season.

Do you think LeBron will announce ahead of time his plans to end his career like Kobe did? It's possible, and I think it's even profitable for the team because the ticket price for LeBron's last games will be very expensive in that case.
As for another ring, I don't think he has much chance to do it in the next two seasons with the Lakers.

Nahhh. He will not win a ring in LA anymore in his final 2 seasons.
The Lakers roster right now is what I consider average, and knowing that they're in the Western Conference where all-stars are distributed in every team, it will be hard for them to win a title.

Ever since their title in 2020, their roster is just full of average and unknown players. Lebron and AD obviously can't lead this team. Take note that AD became healthier as well but still, they're having a hard time winning in the playoffs. As for Le-GM, he will still average 20 PPG in the upcoming season, but his team will not win a title. Le-GM's only chance of winning a title I think is if he will join a young team that's considered a playoff contender, and he will have a massive pay cut just to be with that team. 2 years from now, he will be 41, and I don't think that his value at that time will be the same as it is now.

Teams in the West are getting better, we have the Wolves, the Nuggets, OKC and Luka lead Dallas. So that's a whole lot of teams that Lebron and the Lakers should go before they reach the finals.

So with their current line up, I don't think that they will have enough muscle to get over those teams. Only Lebron and AD on their team and a lot of role players. Unlike the other teams wherein there are a lot of legit superstars on their roster.

I will derail the discussion for a bit with regards to Le-GM since we've been talking about him for ages already.

I will share about Jonathan Kuminga and it seems like he's seeking for a $224 Million max contract extension with the Golden State Warriors. Regarding to Sportsrac, he still have 2 years on the contract and after this upcoming season, he will be a Restricted Free Agent. Just for context, Kuminga averaged 16.1 PPG, 4.8 RPG, & 2.2 APG on 52.9 FG% for Golden State last season.

Now the question is, do you think that with his contributions and his performance in the last 3 seasons, do you think that he deserves a max contract with Golden State? Why?

I think it's too early for him to be asking a max contract but it's up to his agent to convince the Warriors' management. Nobody can deny about his improvements last season but he is not that close to being the main guy like Steph. He'll have better chances though since Klay is already out.

Yeah, for now he is not that worth though, he still needs to do more, at least average 20 ppg this season and since Klay left already, he should be the second option for now.

Although there are flashes of him to be a good player, still not enough at least for me for Kuminga to demand that huge contract. But he has 2 years so it could be worth for the Warriors if he becomes their second best player behind Steph Curry.

So with their current line up, I don't think that they will have enough muscle to get over those teams. Only Lebron and AD on their team and a lot of role players. Unlike the other teams wherein there are a lot of legit superstars on their roster.

I do read an article that the Lakers have acquired the service of Jonas Valanciunas and with this recent development i think AD had a partner now in the rebounding chores and his addition provide more muscle in the middle but remain to be seen if his addition will make the Lakers a championship contender in the West.

Might help a bit on AD, but I do not think that it will be enough though.

It was interesting to see the pairing of Joel Embiid + PG with the Sixers. Joel need some help and I think PG might be the answer. They've lost Tobias Harris but they still have Maxey.

It just remind me though of Joel + Ben Simmons, lots of promise on that tandem until it did broke during the playoffs. But PG is experience though so it might be a different experience.

Is Klay their second option last season still? Because if that's the case then Kuminga is now their second option and like you said, he doesn't deserve the max contract this season.

He needs to step up this upcoming regular season before the management decide whether they will give it to him or not. They don't what to happen what they did to Jordan Poole a few years ago where they gave him a huge contract, and ended up as a bust. They must be more careful now in giving huge contracts. As for Kuminga, he's athletic and a reliable shooter and defender as well. With Wiggins becoming inconsistent, he stepped up and helped on offense, and although it wasn't enough for the Dubs to clinch the playoffs, at least we've seen some improvement coming from him in all stats.

Now that Klay is gone, I expect more from Kuminga from now especially with his offense.

I think Steve Kerr experiment a lot of combinations and starting five last season as they have CP3 to play the point during his one year stay with the Warriors. And there are times that Kuminga and Klay coming off the bench. But I guess it didn't work as Klay has one of the worst season ever as a Warrior although he average 17 points, but still it's below of his 20-21 ppg and then he had 0 points in his last game as a Warrior. Yes, I'm also looking at Kuminga to be a big guy in offense of the Warriors. It's like when Wiggins has at his best version with the Warriors, prior to his struggle, and he become a All Star that year. So hopefully, Kuminga might have his best year with the Dubs this coming season.

Enough of the Kuminga news, I guess since it didn't gain that much traction from the media. What's popular right now is the complete transformation of Zion Williamson's body.

https://twitter.com/ClutchPoints/status/1825014545095807378#

I know that many here already saw his transformation, but that's a huge weight loss especially if we know how his body is last season. He played a career-high 70 games last regular season and the Pelicans would've won that play-in game against the Lakers if only Zion didn't get injured in the crucial minutes. In your opinion, do you think that this transformation by him will result to a better Pelicans team on the upcoming regular season? Or it will be the opposite.

For me, this body transformation that we are seeing from him every single off-season will be the same as how Ben Simmons are hyping his fans on Instagram every off-season with his three-point and perimeter shooting. :D
