And history has been made tonight, the first father and son duo, playing at the same time. We have been talking about this for a long time that Lebron is going to wait for his son to played. But we didn't think that it will be this season, we thought that Bronny will stay and play college basketball. But I guess Lebron Sr, can't wait for it to happen as he knows that the future might not be good for him in the next 2-3 years and so now, this new season, they've etched their names in the history of the NBA again.
Do you think that Le-GM will allow that one to happen? His big dream was to let him and his son play together in the NBA. He can't wait for another year just to make that dream to happen hence, he did everything in his power to let the Lakers draft Bronny and give him a very huge contract despite being drafted as the 55th pick. With this history, I hope that the Lakers will make a decision for themselves and let Bronny play in the G-league to develop furthermore because he will just be benched if he's in the NBA that's for sure.

How about Ja Morant getting injured in the pre-season?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv-tlz9TvN8

It's a bad sign for the Memphis, and it seems that he might follow what Derrick Rose before him. Not saying that he might suffered a career injury, but with the way he plays, sooner or later he will get another injury and it might really affect him in the long run.
Correct me, but I think he returned minutes after that injury. Well, it's an accident since the ball hit his feet causing his ankle to roll hence got injured. Overall, his playing style really is very dangerous for him and his career, and yes, I'm seeing a Derrick Rose-like career with him and we know what happened to him. I hope it will not happen, but injuries are inevitable.

And that's were the argument is, his son is still too young to be in the NBA, he could have at least attend college and play basketball before going into the draft. Others argue that Lebron is selfish because he can't wait anymore for his son to go and play with him and make history. Do you honesty think that he is NBA material at this age? And he didn't have his father's DNA, he is too small to be a forward and I do not think that he can play guard as well.

^ As soon as his son was eligible for the draft, I think most people expected already that he'll be a Laker and not a college player. History made for sure like the father wanted but it's going to be disappointing for his son. The way he plays now, he's good enough to be on the bench. He cried when he was finally drafted and I think he'll shed more tears in private because of the bashing from fans.

Let's admit that he is not as good as his father. But to be fair, we have seen a lot of sons of great players as well not making into the NBA or making it here but a total disappointment as well.

Good thing is that he is still young, maybe can recover from all the bashing and can still play while his father is still around the league and sort of influence teams to pick him up. So let's see how far Bronny can go in the league once his father has retired though. Not sure how long Lebron can play, but he is not yet slowing down.

Being a son of arguably the "Greatest of all time" has a great pressure already for Bronny, and I doubt if this doesn't affect him internally and his performance on every game as well. I mean there will be times where other people will compare him with his father.

I agree that he's not as good with his father hence, he must go to the G-league to develop, but it seems like his father will do everything to let him stay which might affect their performance all throughout the regular season and worse, they might not even clinch the playoffs. I know it's too much, but it can happen. As for Le-GM, he's still dunking like he's still on his prime. He's still as athletic as he is at 39 years old (40 in a few months). I hope that most players will do what Le-GM is also doing when it comes to conditiioning themselves.

The pre-season was really good for us fans, maybe some of us bet on the game itself, or maybe just waiting for the regular games. But at least we have seen our favorite teams and maybe we can grade them.

For Klay, I think for a Maverick fans, it's a disappointment to see him not really contributing and there are game that he had no points at all. On the flip side, Buddy Hield is doing good with the Warriors and as a team, it looks like he had blended already.

^ I haven't watched any of the pre-season games. Does Klay look uninspired? Maybe he couldn't adjust to the ball rotations yet. He might need to be satisfied or content to be the catch and shoot guy for the team.

Anyway, I've only seen a highlight of Westbrook as a Nugget. He could be a good fit on that team like he did with the Clippers.

There are games that he can't even get the touch, not sure if his team mates can't see him open, or they just totally ignore him.

What can you say about this news?

Quote
The Denver Nuggets reportedly aren't interested in paying forward Aaron Gordon a maximum contract value of four years and $150 million during extension negotiations.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst said on Friday's episode of The Hoop Collective that the Nuggets are "hopeful" to sign Gordon to a new deal below the $150 million that he's eligible to receive (h/t RealGM).

Gordon still has two years remaining on his current contract, which includes a $22.8 million player option for the 2025-26 season.

A potential four-year, $150 million contract would be worth $37.5 million per year. If the maximum extension is signed and kicks in after his current deal, Gordon's average annual salary would become the ninth-highest among power forwards in the NBA during the 2026-27 season

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10139947-nba-rumors-aaron-gordon-wont-get-150m-max-contract-offer-from-nugget

So it means that the Nuggets wanted to retain him, however, they don't want to give him the possible max contract. And so if this is the case then we might see another part of the core team of Nuggets who win their NBA ring might not be with team. He have seen, KCP is the latest of the Nuggets that decided to move out, so maybe Gordon will be the next one.

In any case, still plenty of time for him to show his worth in this coming season. Worse case scenario is that if the Nuggets won't make it to the finals, just maybe they will lose another great player in their team. Gordon has evolved into a high flyer to a veteran and a great defender and then he can still score if needed specially in clutch. Two years still though in his contract and by that time, maybe it's a different Nugget team or Gordon started to decline as well.

It's possible, as he is new to the team so maybe he still can't fit yet or the team themselves are also adjusting to have a player that can shoot from the outside, that is catch and shoot player. So still very early to call although I have seen comments that says Klay is already out of his prime. Good thing is that Kyrie had some good pass on him, so we will somewhat see how him and Kyrie will blend, as we all know that Kyrie is also a great passer. All Klay would do is just to wait for the right pass and then Boom, outside three's for him. Let's give Klay some time before we can say that he is wash up already.

As for Klay, I guess the pre-season games isn't enough for us to judge him whether he's fit for the team or not. The best is the whole regular season so we can compare his stats when he got traded to Dallas to his past stats during his stint with Golden State. It would took long, but for me that's the best way to know if he fits with the team or not. Not scoring on a single game again for me isn't enough for me to say that he isn't fit for the team. I'm on a part where I believe that he can still be a 3rd option on offense for the team. He might be washed for some, but I still believe that he can recover to this one.

As for Westbrook, he's a good fit for the Clippers IMO. With Westbrook being with Jokic, the burden of passing lessens because we also know that Westbrook is a good passer as well. He averaged around 5 APG during his last season with the Clippers, and I believe that he can still make that one as well. There's a chance that he might be put as their starting PG if he will play very well along the way.

Yuki Kawamura is signed with a two way contract with the Memphis, so it's good that the Japanese has the opportunity to play in the NBA for at least 50 games and he will be a good back up just in case something happen to Ja Morant again.

So those who are sign in this kind of contract is,

a. Quincy Olivari - who had a good pre-season game with the Lakers
b. Marc McClung - back to back Slam Dunk champion.

But Landry Shamet and former No. 7 pick Killian Hayes has been waived because of injuries. Lonnie Walker as well as also being waived, not from injuries, but perhaps the Celtics thinks that he is not a fit for them for now.

Kawamura getting a 2-way contract is a good sign for other Asian players because we don't see that much Asian players in the NBA right now. The famous one right now is Hachimura. As for Kawamura, this makes my prediction correct in the past that he will be playing most of the time in the Memphis Hustle and help their affiliate team. Congratulations to him still. As for McClung, I'm still curious on how he will fit into the NBA because he's like Kenneth Lofton Jr. where he's dominating in the G-league but ends up mediocre when playing in the NBA.

Shamet is an average role player, and I don't think that there will be somebody that will get him TBH. As for Killian Hayes, I really hoped that the Nets will help him recover his NBA career, but injuries again ruined it. As for Lonnie Walker IV, he's been a good piece back when he's still with the Lakers so I think that there will be some team out there that will try and get him.

He will definitely not be able to recover to his prime, as players' careers always go downhill after such serious injuries. However, that doesn't mean that Klay won't be useful to the Mavs in the upcoming regular season. I think he will still be able to perform at the same level he did last season. The only thing is that I think it will take him a couple of months to adapt to his new teammates.

Although after his his injuries, he comes back and won a ring with the Warriors, those were the days that the Warriors is really build different, they still have Jordan Poole and then Wiggins becoming an All Star. And so it seems everything is perfect for the Warriors that time. But after that, they traded Poole and Wiggins is not the same anymore.

And with that, still hard to see what's the level of Klay now, maybe he already way past his prime, or he had a difficulty adjusting to a new team since obviously, this is the first time that he had been traded or move to a new team.

Yeah, the Warriors dynasty has been over for a long time. I wonder what the Warriors will do after two seasons, i.e. when Curry's contract is expired. It seems to me that they will become underdogs and go into a rebuilding phase because Curry will be 38 years old by then, i.e. he will be close to the end of his career.
