a government, whatever it is, cannot have sympathy for cryptocurrencies
and I'll also explain why, if you don't own the currency you can't play the economic games that allow you (see USA) to print money as and when you like, and temporarily creating opportunities (for example financing wars)
these games then pay in the long run and the people pay for them with a loss of economic power
Yeah, we all understand this. Governments want the economy to develop in the best, safest, and most beneficial way for everyone, so they will continue to use fiat as an effective and simple tool. Of course, we all know that governments are not succeeding in that goal, waste and inefficiency of public investment + corruption + power struggles are making the economy worse, inflation is rising rapidly and is beyond the control of governments. Even the US government has a huge debt of over $30T, their interest payments are even bigger than their military spending. We are seeing unsustainable economic development globally, I believe governments also realize this but they have not yet found an effective solution. They are still on the side of fiat and looking for ways to attack the crypto market through proposals related to Mixers.
There are many conspiracy theories out there, but I think we should focus on solutions. We think that BTC and crypto were the solution because they were not controlled by governments, but I still can't imagine a world after BTC is used to replace fiat globally. Will there be any difference from the gold standard period? I'm not sure about anything, for me crypto is still just an experiment and Mixers are an important part of that experiment: it protects anonymity but is also a target for government attacks.
