They do deep research first and double or triple-check the site first to see if it's phishing or not before using it since we're talking about a big amount to send, so I believe most people don't want to lose such a big amount, and asking experienced users is a must.

People nowadays are smart even with a small amount I believe they also do research first if they are unfamiliar with the site or service they plan to use, they consult with experienced users before to proceed.

I don't know if there are forums that do not moderate scams, except for the Bitcointalk forum. However, Bitcointalk moderators nuke users who post phishing links. This is where phising becomes dangerous. Sometimes you did your research, but you use some other address instead of  mixtum.io and then its gone...

This is why community support in social media, and forums (like this one) are so important. They are good way to double check for customers, to get the correct URL.

That's not very effective for Google indexing. However, for backlinking purposes, it might help to some extent. Still, effective backlinking usually only works if the campaign lasts for a long period, at least a year or more, because once the signature is removed, the links disappear as well, reducing any long-term benefit.

This is possibly the reason why companies that understand how this works usually opt for a long term campaign, because they know that the more the campaign last, they more beneficial it becomes to them..

And i can't remember the exact place but I know I've read somewhere where the manager of this campaign said that mixtum campaign this time will be running for a long term, though I understand long term may likely mean different period of times for different people but let's hope it's for over a year, and let's also pray and hope that government become more friendly with mixers and clampdown on their site anymore, then we have the assurance that legitimate mixers that are here to provide long term service will freely operate without any issues from regulators.
