The answer to this question should be an answer on how much profit you stand to gain at the end of the bull run.

Since ethereum is the top altcoin we know of, it is believed to give profits in the bull run, I wouldn't sell it for bitcoin. The reason is that ethereum is cheaper than bitcoin. Having one ethereum at $2,900k can give one x3 of profits, compared when using the exact amount invested in bitcoin

The price does not play any role at all, it just so happens that Bitcoins are simply the most expensive and most likely there will never be a cryptocurrency with the same price as Bitcoin and plus the fact that you have Bitcoin simply because it is more reliable than other cryptocurrencies, that’s why they called it the topic is exactly that.

Bitcoin has an expensive price is not a coincidence, Bitcoin can have an expensive price because of the high demand and supply of Bitcoin also has an important influence on the price of bitcoin. Basically when something has limited supply and has a very high demand then it will make the price high, this is the exact reason why bitcoin has a high price.

You are right, bitcoin has limited supply and high demand, this is what makes the price of bitcoin very expensive. Especially after the bitcoin halving, the price of bitcoin should have risen high because miner rewards were cut in half, but why is the price of bitcoin currently struggling and experiencing frequent corrections? That's how unpredictable Bitcoin is

Bitcoin has a high price only because Bitcoin was the very first of the cryptocurrencies; there are many cryptocurrencies that have a much smaller supply than Bitcoin and they may not cost anything at all just because they were invented much later than Bitcoin.

Ethereum has its own specialties that make it attractive than Bitcoin, while Bitcoin also has its fans for many reasons. Actually, from a functional perspective, I am more in favor of Ethereum because the smart contract feature really helps a lot in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Although the facts speak that investors for Bitcoin are bigger and more numerous because Bitcoin is a pioneer.

Between Bitcoin and Ethereum both are the best coins at the moment, so if you don't like one of them, you still have a good choice of coins to use as an investment vehicle.

I agree, bitcoin is expensive because supply is limited and is most popular because it is a pioneer of crypto currency. As the first crypto, Bitcoin has always been king, that's why the price of Bitcoin is so expensive right now. Maybe if we bought a lot when it was cheap, now we would be rich

We don't need to regret what has happened because basically in 2010 many people still underestimated the price of bitcoin and did not expect it to be this expensive. What we need to do is we have to keep buying bitcoin as long as it is still easy to get. Imagine when miners can no longer produce Bitcoin, what is the price of Bitcoin on the market?

Well, it is always fun to contemplate on such prospects as the future price of bitcoin once mining is done. Conjecting on the value of this virtual currency, it is probable that it will rise to the roof, especially in the event of increased or even constant demand in line with even scarcer supply.

I sometimes wish we could go back in time and purchase bitcoin when it had not been popular and cost so cheap; profits today would have been rewarding. As a matter of fact, that is where the essence of Crypto investing lies and at times also the mystery which excites a lot and may happen in future.

We know that ethereum is one of the second crypto in the cryptocurrency market, and also know that bitcoin is the first level crypto in cryptocurrency market. We know that bitcoin price is most valuable currency, So if i want to buy a bitcoin it will be very difficult for us. Because i can not take birth in a rich family. So i also decided to sell my ethereum immediately for buy bitcoin. Because we know that bitcoin price still in a little down now. So i believe that it’s the perfect time for buy bitcoin.

it would be best if we can hold on to both and diversify our portfolio by also investing in a few altcoins however if i had the chance to hold more bitcoin i would be silly to not take the opportunity ethereum is also profitable but if i were to take my chances i would bet on bitcoin more to be the more profitable one out of the two

and it has been proven by track record but again i want to be in a place where i can buy both and safely hold both at the same time

If I have $60k cash to invest in Bitcoin, I will split the money and but half of the money with 0.5btc and use the rest to invest into ethereum. It's not like I don't see Bitcoin as the supremacy but I'm looking at the opportunity the both will provide later in the future especially the price action, Bitcoin will grow but it wouldn't make return with the potential ethereum is having.

I have not experienced that market where Bitcoin grow without taking ethereum along. In short, Bitcoin and Ethereum seems to move together with some other top alts and most often, Ether price seems to make 2x of what Bitcoin is doing. If ethereum is bullish, it can easily do $10k when Bitcoin is doing $100k

Re: Would you sell the majority of your ETH to own an entire Bitcoin?
« Reply #134 on: September 14, 2024, 10:37:33 PM »
for now i think YES,  if the price is still in the profitable category when we are going to sell the altcoins we have to exchange for bitcoin, but the question is will btc go to tbull run of this year

If I had that amount of money $60K, I would buy bitcoin but only #0% of my money and would divide it into several potential altcoins like ethereum, BNB, Solana, TON and others. because altcoin is more profitable than bitcoin, although many say bitcoin is safer but we invest to find profit not just to find safety and top coins have proven they are safe to hold, if something like LUNA happens in the future it is just part of the risk.
