It's true that this is a choice that I think can be profitable in the future, because even if we choose Bitcoin it has reached a very high price, for now ETH is the right choice
why do you think eth is the right choice? does it mean that you think eth is better than bitcoin right now? i think many would disagree considering btc is pumping and setting ath week after week now
Bitcoin, whatever happens, will still remain the best choice. But maybe what he said is with the current conditions, with the capital he has, and the Bitcoin price that has reached the current rate, maybe he thinks it will be more profitable to invest in Ethereum, considering the price is still quite far from ATH and there is still the possibility of getting high profits.

The point is, in my personal opinion, both Bitcoin and Ethereum are top cryptos that are indeed very potential and worth it for investment. Yes, it depends on how we manage our money and risk in investing, this will also affect the strategy and achievements, each person must have their own strategy to get more promising profits according to each of us.
I also agree with what you said, I also plan to buy altcoin if there is a correction because the price of altcoin is still far from ATH while the price of bitcoin is already high. If there is a correction, the price of bitcoin is likely to still be above $ 85K, this is according to my analysis. because the current price of bitcoin is $ 97K, if there is a correction, it is likely to only drop around $ 10K to $ 87K.
It is better if you still have capital, buy altcoin because the opportunity to seek profit is still high.

Buying altcoins while Bitcoin’s price is at an extraordinarily high level is a good move but is ridden by a rather high risk if we regard bitcoin price as unpredictable. When a correction goes like this, altcoins are supposed to be hurt more than they did, in this case we can take the courage to enter into the market and use the chance to get into a cheaper entry price. We can place some capital into assets that have long term growth potential, if we carefully consider how the market is moving.

I don't know if it is right to invest in altcoins now, but I have invested in altcoins several months ago. I don't want to invest again now because if the price of Bitcoin is dumped, I will have to face big losses. The Bitcoin bull run has started, I am hoping that the altcoin bull run will start in a few days, let's see what happens. But if someone invests in altcoins now, it will be a bit risky. I think that if someone invests with some risk, they can make a profit because the altcoin bull run has not started yet.

As per your logic investing in the altcoins seems the more profitable because you mentioned the bull run yet to start.

I read the first reply to the thread and that's enough why we should choose BTC over ETH, the price didn't grow as expected let's see ETH was around 2400 at that time and it's now 3300 meanwhile Bitcoin grown over 250% so at any day I'll pick Bitcoin and I actually did that in 2018 to own a whole Bitcoin.

Buying altcoins while Bitcoin’s price is at an extraordinarily high level is a good move but is ridden by a rather high risk if we regard bitcoin price as unpredictable. We can place some capital into assets that have long term growth potential, if we carefully consider how the market is moving.
Actually buying altcoins when the bitcoin price is already high has a higher risk because we cannot predict whether the bitcoin price will go down or not, it all depends on the trend and market analysis. If the possibility of bitcoin increasing as a sign of a bullish season, then buying altcoins when the bitcoin price has started to rise high is a pretty good step because we can get profit if a bullish season occurs.

For me it depends on how many Ethereum I have. And it also depends on the exchange market if Ethereum is moving fast and the majority of it costs one Bitcoin then I won't sell but if the market is stagnant I can sell that majority and still use some funds from there to acquire more. Why did I say this cause since Bitcoin hit the $100k we are now having a least expectation on Bitcoin growth.

We can also see how strategies can be modified as a function of market conditions and size of assets. Selling some in the portfolio to capitalise on the rest is a process that can extend the opportunity’s management. The good thing is you are diversified and if Bitcoin is slowing down, there is always the new Ethereum with much more potential for gains.

When what happens is that the price of Bitcoin has started to increase rapidly while the price of Ethereum has not yet experienced a significant increase, then I personally will continue to hold ETH. because what else can I do, it is not in accordance with my sales target, rather than forcing myself. And for BTC, it doesn't mean I don't do it, there is still an allocation for it, it's just not by selling Ethereum and transferring it to Bitcoin. Honestly for me, in my opinion, both BTC and ETH are worth it even though BTC is definitely more than it. but Ethereum is also one of my favorite coins and I am still loyal to hold to achieve ATH again later. And when it's over, the results from selling ETH or other coins will be much larger transferred to Bitcoin.

Even if bitcoin is having a great expansion both in price and in awareness among people, I wouldn't bet everything on just one thing, I would say half and half of the total of my portfolio

Good consideration if you only choose bitcoin shoes from your portfolio, because we also have to have coins that can increase our profit opportunities. I have bitcoin only 40% of my crypto assets, the rest are altcoins in my wallet.

If it's now, I might TBH. I mean Ethereum didn't have any price movement within the whole month of January. January will end with the candle on it being a red candle while Bitcoin will end at a green candle.

Will I do it now? No because it would be better if I sold my ETH back a few weeks ago and used it to buy Bitcoin. Still, Ethereum is a good long-term coin to hold, but there are other coins out there that are starting to boom as well like SOL, even XRP, and other coins out there.

Yes, it's better to understand first how much we have, and even if we take some of the profit and transfer it to Bitcoin, it might seem promising. Well, if it's considered that worth it, why not? The goal is to optimize the chances for profiting, right?

However, if it's not needed, just hold on to ETH, especially when you only have a little. Investing in crypto is indeed serious and complicated. So no matter what, when we are still in doubt, don't decide first. But if you are sure, just execute. However, asset diversification is sometimes necessary.

Considering the existing conditions is always a smart move, which is why adjusting steps is also good. If it is possible to switch, for example, part of the profits to other assets which could be viewed as more promising, that could be a correct action indeed. But when the chances are still not clear or not ripe, it is still advisable to wait until you are almost certain. In every case involving investment, some action will follow an outcome; therefore, it is always wise to take your time. It is agreeable that when it comes to risk diversification, it is quite possible, but then again it should be done with computations so as not to affect the growth of the existing portfolio assets.

Diversifying assets is important because we can increase opportunities and minimize losses because they are spread across several potential coins that we have. Of course, don't take risks by having less potential coins, it is recommended to choose top coins.
I agree with you, if we have doubts, we shouldn't do it, make decisions when we are sure of our choice.

Yes of course, and we are the ones who know the conditions, based on what is happening in the market, some news updates, and also some predictions or reactions from some parties who are indeed connoisseurs in crypto. This can be some important considerations for us, although in the end it is still based on our own analysis for making the decision.

For diversification, yes indeed, I really like this. although BTC must be at least 60%. and the rest are altcoins that do have potential and are also top standing.
