Being a trader I highly agree with you, a trader never thinks about long term holding at least when he/she has enough capital because with large capital a trader can be quite happy even if he/she makes just 1% to 2% per trade and 5-10 of such trades are more than enough for such traders.

But, there are people who are traders but they're also interested in investing and those type of traders or investors can make quite good profits. I would consider myself as such type of trader + investor because I make profits from my trades and at the same time make profits by holding some good altcoins and Bitcoin for long term.
