In your review, I see 21% AML (which is actually very good... but I decided to do my own testing and for some reason the bitcoins that arrived at my address have an AML of only 10%. Honestly, I don’t know what this could be connected, perhaps the funds came through different exchanges (but overall the result is impressive).

Just tested the mixer.

- Website is pretty straightforward, I like the simplicity.
- I tested a mix with two addresses.
- The letter of guarantee was verified with the PGP key on the website (B8A5 CFCA F63F F2D8 384A 6B12 D3B2 8095 6F0E 7CAF).

In contrary to other mixers that have a bunch of js and animations, I kinda like how you generate a mix with its LoG and that's it. You get the deposit address and all othe information on that letter. Just send coins -> receive coins after a few hours.

I chose 2 outputs, each from a different exchange (Binance and BitGet). The amount sent was 0,0051 BTC.
I received ‎0,0013 + ‎0,0028246 = 0,0041246 BTC. After the fixed fee of 0.0007 BTC, I was charged around 5.4%
Both exchanges credited the deposits normally.

Both transactions were fee overpaid by 2x (according to mempool.space) at around 20 sat/vByte and were spent by a multisig 2-of-2 of around 0.9 - 1 BTC.

An AML check showed no risk indicators or known counterparties.

I used a wallet that had transactions before, so the 21% AML isn't linked directly to Thormixer's coins. What I see is the fact that the mixing tx hasn't tarnished the wallet, which is a positive outcome.

Everything is clear about the service fee, but I do not understand why a fixed cost per address of 0.0007 BTC is set? Why should I pay a higher transaction fee if I use a mixer at a time when the network fee is very low? In my opinion, everyone should pay the current network commission, not the average one.

I am also of the opinion that the fixed network fee is too high. Especially now when the network is not under heavy load. I think that only one or two mixers have this fluctuating fee and it depends on the current state of the network.
I would say that the network fee is something that all mixers should consider and adjust to a more reasonable level.

0.0007 BTC is indeed high transaction fee but it solves the issue of urgency. Today the transaction fee is currently 7 sat/vB but there are times when this fee has gone beyond 200 sat/vB. This is not once in a while that the transaction fee has been fluctuating, this immense fluctuations has been going on and and it has been out of control. Since we cannot predict or follow a pattern of Bitcoin transaction fee, it will be always good to keep a high transaction fee. As of now some reputed and big  CEX are charging more fee than Thormixer. For privacy sake a decent fee which allows fater confirmation is better than a lower fee.

But on the other hand, if this point can be technically regulated, then users will certainly be more comfortable when they can pay the current fee rather than the average one. I agree with your point that every user wants to pay less transaction fee. The point is not valid with a mixer as it already taking a few hours for mixing then incase the transaction fee fluctuate the transaction confirmation gets delayed more which will not look good. I again do not feel that someone will be using a mixer for a small amount of Satoshi. The whole purpose of mixer is to provide privacy and that will be only useful with a big transaction. A user going with a big transaction would not mind a high transaction fee as it is still small compared to what banks charge without privacy.

Thormixer is a partner, and even if they want to make free fee, there are fees that they have to pay, but I think the fees are appropriate, they just need to reduce the onchain fees.

A user going with a big transaction would not mind a high transaction fee as it is still small compared to what banks charge without privacy.

It depends on what is a small amount for whom.
It is wrong to think that mixers should only be for big transactions. Also, I would like to meet a person who doesn't care if he pays too much for a fee.

You are on the market for a reason. To provide service, and get profit in return. I understand that probably it was one of their marketing strategies! The fees should depend on a product's service. If there are mixers that offer you the same service for less fees, I am sure people will pick them. But, if you can build a solid reputation with your services, people will pick your service even if you charge more fees than others. I haven't tried Thormixer yet even though I was supposed to try the service. I am planning to check their service by doing some mixing next week. I hope, I won't have any complaint about their service.

Yes, in a mixer user's want the best privacy and for that they can pay higher fees. Let's say a mixer is offering 5% fees for best privacy and highest level of anonymity and 1% fee for just privacy and minimum level of anonymity then one will always go for the 5% fee option as that gives higher privacy an best level of anonymity than the 1% fee one. For mixer users privacy is the main choice but I believe for best privacy 5% fee is more than enough and over it is sometimes high for some users.

Well, yes. I agree with that. If I really want to hide my money from the people, I would pay more fees to have better anonymity. If you care about your privacy and your money, you may spend a hundred bucks to make it as you like. But, there are people like me who are neither a newbie nor an advanced level user, we usually prefer lower fee mixing that provides some privacy.

There is no mixer that offers free mixing, but rather commission-free, and you will still pay the transaction fees. Also, the mixers’ strategy is based on obtaining coins from cryptocurrency stock exchanges, which means that there will always be fees.

The only mixer that was free was chipmixer, and the nature of the mixer's work forces them to be a donation-based service, but with the presence of AML bots, chipmixer will be a failure considering today's standards.

Mostly the whales with huge amounts do that so others can't track them. Most of those whales own huge amounts in BTC and if they disclose that to anyone then that can be harmful for their lives or their family.

No one will ever tell anyone that he/she owns 10 or 100 Bitcoin because everyone knows that Bitcoin is sellable and thus thieves and criminals could harm such people and their families, and that's why such users choose the best privacy option to remain anonymous.

On the other hand there are some people who may save themselves from crypto taxes and those people also pay higher fees for best privacy possible. Such users have bought Bitcoin when it was cheap or they've mined it in early days and that's why they want to remain hidden too.

Crypto regulation has been introduced in my country with an obvious emphasis on paying taxes. So my tax report would have to contain absolutely all transactions. For example, if I have 30 trades per day, they must all be in the report. Now think, how much time do I have to spend just on the tax report?
It's not about avoiding paying taxes, it's about avoiding cumbersome administration. It is much easier to report a few transactions than 1000+ per month.
