Let's say if like 1 million or more transactions are processed on the bitcoin network hourly, then setting a three hours gap between transaction is definitely and surely good enough for what ever level of privacy one needs.

I'm not exactly sure but the number of processed transactions per hour should be below 30k and even that number is more than enough to add privacy in coins. Since the mixed coins are sent to different addresses that's why I believe privacy of the mixed coins is 100% maintained, however it's always recommended by privacy enthusiasts to increase the duration between two mixed transactions to have better privacy.

Yeah. For better privacy, users should use at least two addresses, and both of them just a fresh wallet that was never used before. I checked that the two transactions did not come from the same wallet (If I am not wrong). The gap between the two transactions was over ten blocks which is good enough. I believe it's almost impossible to connect these wallets and track the money because those are fresh wallets and not connected to each other by any way, Not in the same block, not received from the same wallet, nothing. So, I guess it's good enough.

I agree a fresh wallet will be not easily traceable and will be more secure. I do not think two addresses can provide good privacy but it depends on the user whether he wants to add another address and that is why it is optional on Thormixer.

Or, what about users who can choose the time? I have used a mixer before where the user can pick the time frame between the transactions. But, I guess Thormixer wants to keep it simple and do not want to add anything complex.

Maybe that might be the reason for their simple design and easy-to-understand platform, even a noob can easily mix Bitcoin using it.

But assuming that there are just a few hundred to a thousand transactions that is process on the network, then giving a three hour gap between transactions is surely not really good enough; privacy minded though.

Hours do not really matter, it's the number of blocks you are spacing them apart in. Obviously you wouldn't want to receive the two transactions in the same block, or even in the next block. The whole idea is to create a "buffer" so that chain analysis doesn't think the two transactions are related.

Well, I think we are basically saying the same thing, it's like explaining the same thing in different ways, or explaining from perspective.

I am not that knowledgeable in terms of the technicalities of how the bitcoin blockchain works, but based on the litle understanding I have, every block has a limit to the number of transactions it can contain, which automatically means that, the higher the number of transactions on the bitcoin network, the more and faster blocks are produced, which is exactly the same thing as what I said above, and also inline with what you said.

I don't think that the time in mixing those coins really matters, because with such a volume of transactions per hours, it clearly shows that the coins will go through multiple wallets addresses and channels to deliver a clean and proper mixed coins that offers high privacy already.

Three hours is more than enough time with the availability of liquidity we are good to go all the way, let hope things keep getting interesting with Thormix.

I don't know. They probably use some instant exchangers and manually create orders for each order. Or they create order using API's. I don't know how else they could manage funds from exchanges. This could be another reason for the fixed 0.0007 BTC fees because they had to spend some money on exchanges as well. So, what they do is take your risk as their own. You don't take the risk of triggering KYC on instant exchanges, but they might do. Is this what you were asking? Or maybe I got you wrong.

Yeah. After using a couple of mixers before, I was expecting something similar from Thormixer as well. I was keep waiting to detect my deposit as other mixers do and I was fooled. LOL. But I appreciate that they kept it so simple.

This question has been asked to Jambler and his partners many times, it is probably part of a business secret because they have been doing it successfully for years.
Some mixers probably used the Coinjoin feature via Samurai wallet, so they stopped working immediately after its closure.
Obviously, Thormixer (and other Jambler's partners) has a different way.

I have never used a mixer in the past and I must say that I found this mixer very easy to understand and very intuitive.  Complexity doesnt always help, in fact there are some design rules that say the opposite like less is more it is not easy to make simple designs and therefore I would say that the work done here is good.  Simple and basic, what interests us is that you mix the coins well.

I have never used a mixer in the past and I must say that I found this mixer very easy to understand and very intuitive.  Complexity doesnt always help, in fact there are some design rules that say the opposite like less is more it is not easy to make simple designs and therefore I would say that the work done here is good.  Simple and basic, what interests us is that you mix the coins well.

You are right, and I completely agree wit you, most especially with that line that said it's not easy to make simple designs, i guess that the irony of life there, alot of people fancy complex and challenging things/designs, and developers try to make their work appear as complex/fancy as possible so that users will feel that the work is very expensive and appreciate it, but ironically, what users really love and appreciate is that simple looking, easy to understand and navigate design/interface.

I came across a new mixer ANN, I visited the website that has a soothing background color but the problem is that the design is confusing. Thormixer does not have a soothing background and yet it is so easy to navigate and easy to understand for anyone. I saw someone asking why the .onion link is not displayed on the website and the answer from OP was hilarious. A minimalistic approach is what is required while designing the home page and in this case, Thormixer is far better than others available in the mixing market today.

I know because I have studied these things, the golden rule is, less is more.  It is not easy to understand what to leave, essential, to leave usability and at the same time have a clean interface there are entire UX (user experience) teams in multinationals to understand even just how to make a button (e.g. Spotify) so go figure, its a very complex science.

The bottom line is that, team dedications and willingness to provides are well structured and dedicated service for the client in the most safest way ever and at the same time mentianing high privacy for their users, I think when it comes to that, thormix team have a well structured background foundation in coin mixing judging from how the site interface and it flexibility of usage to both old-timers or newbies coins mixers.

All through my Access to the site I have not experienced any hard and highly technical feature that can be a turn off for any reason.

Used other mixers as well in the past, but yes, that is the case, some of them have learn from past mixers and that the design should be minimalistic, as I think that maybe they take into account that not all Bitcoin enthusiast as technically included and so they will have to design their website that will not confused a first time user and so that chances of them coming back as a repeat customer is very high. It should complicated things for us.
