I agree before Telegram bots users were using either the Clearnet or the TOR version. It's more of TOR version than a clear net as it is privacy that they were seeking to get. It will not be easy for them to shift to a Telegram bot as no one wants to accept the change or move out of their comfort zone. But, it is another option that the mixer is giving in case if a user wants to mix Bitcoin using a mobile device.

There's always the risk that the telegram bot getting shut down before somebody gets their money back or while the mix is taking place, and unless it's just issuing calls to an API server at the backend, the user's going to lose their coins.

I agree there is risk involved but as I have mentioned earlier it is an additional feature that I believe is keeping in mind that some users would love to use their mobile devices for mixing. A lot of users prefer using mobile phones for trading to their desktop or laptop and that number is increasing. I feel the team might have kept that in mind and that is why they might have given the option of using a Telegram bot for mixing Bitcoin.

I know a user who got a scam tag even though he did not try to sell anything or was not involved in any trading. If you hate someone and want to destroy their telegram, you can do this to damage their reputation. Of course, you will need several friends to help you down someone.

However, we expect a platform to act wisely and verify the claim before they take action. The same guy who got the tag said his other account was banned during a conversation. He was talking to a person and suddenly his telegram got logged out and bang, his account was suspended. So yeah, these things can happen. People should use a main website.

They are known to ban bots and not real users who have verified phone numbers. I have never seen actual users getting banned unless they break their policy. Those users who offer you jobs or ask for investment are generally bots who if reported get banned. No one will use their actual account to shill a project or use it for illegal activities.

Yeah, telegram do ban accounts, like permanently which means that the user won't be able to ever join telegram again with the same phone number, but hey, this rarely happen though, when people spam you and you report them, what happens mostly is that the reported user(s)'s account will get limited, they won't be able to post or chat in some groups, send personal messages to some people except they first get a personal message from same person, and so on and on..

Before an account will be banned permanently on telegram, there have to be a very serious offense the user in question committed.

Telegram bans or restrictions seem manipulated. I also have a friend who does nothing fishy with his account but he go banned for real. I was actually surprised what has happened. It seems their verification method in some regions is not strong. It could be that if a few people gets your account reported, you could be banned. So, a group of people might decide to launch an attack on your account and you will end up being banned or restricted by TG.

Not only you, but I guess every other member in a crypto group or channel will get such offers from scammers. If you report them, they won't be able to send messages first to anyone except for their contacts. But that is not the reason for the account ban. But I am sure that this is not the case with my account. I don't even know why my account was banned. I just woke up early morning and saw my Telegram account is logged out for some reason. After the early morning prayer, I tried to log in and saw the account had been banned, and there was no way to contact telegram support.

Honestly, your situation is quite specific considering everything that is happening in your country. I would not be surprised if that decision is on another level and is not directed only against you as an individual.

Well, My telegram account got banned way before the protest started in my country. I don't think the government has any control over telegram because Telegram is a Russian based company. The government tried to discuss with Meta, Tiktok, and Youtube to have some limitations where only TikTok agrees with them. I don't think the government has anything to do with the Telegram account ban. The only thing they can do is block bandwidth for telegram which we can bypass using VPN's. But since the government already changed, all the restrictions from internet are lifted by the new government.

I got the same error message right now. I thought, let's check if it's only for everyone else. But as you can see, it's the same for me. As the message said, it's temporarily unavailable due to maintenance issues. I am unsure if they have announced this anywhere or not, but it is what it is. Well, My telegram account got banned way before the protest started in my country. I don't think the government has any control over telegram because Telegram is a Russian based company. The government tried to discuss with Meta, Tiktok, and Youtube to have some limitations where only TikTok agrees with them. I don't think the government has anything to do with the Telegram account ban. The only thing they can do is block bandwidth for telegram which we can bypass using VPN's. That is strange that your account got banned for no reason and it was before the protest started. You can get a new mobile number and then you can again use Telegram. Yeah VPN does the magic if the government bans certain social media handles but only if you are using a good VPN it works otherwise it does not.

Strangely, it has been more than 24 hours now and still, the same message comes up after entering the Bitcoin address and then clicking on the button to mix Bitcoin.

I am not sure what kind of update is being done by the team but it is surely taking more time than expected. In general, they should have come up with a maintenance page when any user comes to their website. I guess they might have forgotten or they might be busy with the issue that is all I can imagine.
