I find it quite odd that more mixers aren't jumping in to fill the void left by their predecessors, though.

Maybe they are released but we didn't hear about them yet, and it takes time to built something that actually works for mixing and privacy.
They must be much better protected now if they want to survive attacks and seizure from regulators, and this is going to be even more intense in future.

I figure that the only way you are going to get something in this space through is by developing it under a pseudonym, like how Satoshi did with Bitcoin.

It sure is getting very risky developing anything related with privacy these days, if your identity is known to public than you can expect someone knocking on your door soon.

Sooner or later though these new mixers will need some form of promotion. And there could be signature campaigns here. But yeah, the risk involved, and it's going to be like a cat and mouse game moving forward. New mixers created new algo to be anonymous as they can be and then government trying to break that and stop them before they become so huge and being "used" by criminals to hide everything.

And it echoes to me what Bitmixer.io says when they closed like 6 years ago. And they might be right after all.

Yeah, I know. I use a separate github account for the BitMixList repository and pushing commits to a branch becomes very tricky from the command line due to authentication issues. You have to put the token in your URL and not use SSH keys, and so on.

I am doing something a little different. I was only able to "trust" github not to mix my IDs using SSH keys in Ubuntu.

This is how I do it, using two files to configure the env, and 2 ssh keys in the same .ssh directory:

Something was certainly happening with cryptomixer.io, because on 28.05 they wrote a statement on the site. I searched a bit, but I didn't find anything from the recent past that was related to them.

See, I was pretty sure that they had something shady going on, and I'm also sure that people in the know like icopress can agree with that.

I can't say I am surprised at this.

Although I too do not have any information on what might have happened to this mixer. Maybe they had just went offline like all the other mixers that shut down before them.

Unfortunately, one more mixer is out of business. They may have been the youngest and have not yet acquired a user base, but they are certainly entering a negative trend of decreasing privacy service options.

Is that an exit-scam? Or are they closing down their activities due to peeking regulation by law enforcement agencies? Who has any thoughts on this? In fact, because the regulation is on the nose.

P.S. It is very strange when a campaign actively invests in development/promotion on forums, etc. and then immediately closes down. Most likely, there are significant reasons for this. And they're clearly not related to the scam and tc.

There is not much explanation from their side as to the reasons for closing down. There are no scam charges against them, and even if it were an exit scam, the site would still be operational.

Most often everything happens like that in life. Everything functions and works until one moment when it stops.

The idea with this thread and the list of mixers is a bit more complicated and the plan is for each mixer to go through testing and a review that would help users in future use.

All legitimate mixer services are always under attack, I think all of them experienced similar problems more than once.
It is true that Royalmix is currently offline and not working in normal browsers, but you can access their website using Tor browser link that is posted in their topic.

How a mixer (or any other service) handles an attack or any other issue, qualifies it as reliable and safe or vice versa. I'm just saying that it takes a little time to recognize what and in what way Royalmix offers us.
We will not glorify them blindly because they have a signature campaign here, but they should get a chance to prove themselves.
