Will Ethereum hit $5000 this year?

Incase of altcoins it is bit more difficult to predict than Bitcoin. While we can make a bullish forecast for Bitcoin, there can be a big gap between those speculation for altcoins. When Bitcoin reached high in 2021, the price of Ether rose to around $5,000 but this year, we haven't seen much movement in Ether even though the Bitcoin price has touched a new ATH. But we cannot be sure about this right now. Because the bull market is not over yet. At any time the market can reach towards all time high.

Yep. Altcoins is more difficult to predict because there are too many factors that influence the prices. The volatility of altcoins is also higher, it makes altcoins price to change more significant. Ethereum price may increase slower than Bitcoin, Ethereum still doesn't reach a new ATH when Bitcoin has reached a new ATH. But we don't know how the progress of Ethereum price in the next few months. If there is good news about Ethereum ETF again, I think it can boost the price to cross $5000. There is still not many good news from Ethereum development yet, so it is normal if Ethereum price couldn't reach a new ATH. Just wait for the good news or wait for altcoins season!

If bitcoin could reach a new all time high of $80,000 and above, then we should expect in seing ethereum getting to or close to $5,000 this year, knowing that bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency which detect in most cases the performance for other altcoins, also, there are seasons for the altcoins to rise fast but that may not be the major one to mark it to this rate of $5,000

Five month left before end this years and recently Ethereum price still around $3,3k, I don't see its impossible regarding around 40% left for ethereum break out or hit above $5k but depend with bitcoin keep dominance by bad news always or not. One bad news have been over after Germany government's bitcoin assets sold out but have Mt.Gox big influence make bitcoin can crash suddenly when their wallet moving bitcoin assets to another wallet.
in my viewed, ethereum not difficult break out above $5k if not many bad news in few months later and make bitcoin keep stable raise the higher price. I think one or two months later Ethereum if break above $4k seems easily break out above $5k in this year and reach the ATH price.

Considering bitcoin able reach higher price or not before speculating with Ethereum will hit above $5k in this year, absolutely when bitcoin break out new ATH one step closer for Ethereum raise to $5k after success break the higher price above $4k but bitcoin get difficult defend on higher price until make Ethereum price crash under $3k.
Not close with Ethereum opportunity break out higher price in this year or speculation up to $5k but depend on bitcoin price will stable raise up or another moment bitcoin will get correction again exactly current price drop under $64k and most difficult how to break above new ATH.

Yeeh I think I would agree with you on that because I could remember when the Bitcoin price hit the $70k and the Ethereum price followed up and increase to $3k or almost if I'm not mistaken and when the Bitcoin price started dropping it follows the trend and remain were they are now, so there is every possibility that if the Bitcoin price hit $80k the Ethereum may likely retrace back to $4k or hitting $5k since it has gotten to an ATH on that price before.

However the growth of Ethereum is actually dependent on the Bitcoin price so to expect anything from Ethereum this year is totally depends on how far Bitcoin will go on this season but however there is a good hope for Ethereum next year because is going to be a year of bull season, so actually we can expect Ethereum price to hit $6k .

Unfortunately, when we have good news about Ethereum ETF, there is no significant impact on the price pf Ethereum. I really expect there will be big pump after Ethereum is accepted and launched in Ethereum ETF spot for the first time. Even if I know the price may not increases immediately, I still wait for the pump.

Sure, it is okay to wait for a longer time. I am also collecting more Ethereum for now. Since Ethereum still didn't create a new ATH, I am sure it will reach the new ATH very soon in Q3 - Q4 of this year. The new ATH should be above $5000.
