Is true that it will be very difficult to actually know whether old or new tokens will do well but in consideration old tokens are the best because they have actually been on existence for long without having any issues on price manipulation or rug pull, so at least from that the person should have an understanding that after investing on it there is a high chance of there investment safety.

Exactly but why people are selecting old coins because the old coins have some guarantee that they will stay longer and improve in the future but the new coins which have not gained ground in the industry is scary to many investors. And because of what has happened to many investors in the cryptocurrency market, others are afraid to invest in the new projects. Like what happened in my country, many people invested in the new memecoin which was developed by Davido and the project crashed and all the people that invested in the project lost their funds so people became afraid to invest other new memecoins. I also prefer investing in old coins though new coins make people have to have great profits. But if you have luck.

Guarantee doesnt first out such word because we've seen that those old coins have been that delisted on Binance on which not surprising on where there would really be those projects that

Regarding the thread title, I think that it's all about the use of the crypto like it's uses, demands and other stuff that makes the coin wanted by many people either it is new or not. Let's say that there's an old coin but it doesn't have any potential at all right now so it is only useless to begin with and many people will abandon it. Even though it looks easy, investing in Altcoins must be done carefully, ready to commit for the long term based on strong beliefs, not short-term speculation but remain objective when analyzing and always check the accuracy of the information regarding the coin before taking action.

Read about the roadmap and future gaols of the project and if you find out that the project is good and will have a future full of profit then decide about the project to be a part of it. Actually project details are necessary which are very helpful in finding out a profitable project but for it you have to give time to search well and then decide.
 
If there are certain things which you don't feel to be good for yourself then don't hold it longer because holding longer in case of new coins often becomes risky and becomes a reason for your defeat.
