Even though Elon is really that boosting up too much about Doge but we cant really be still so sure that he would really be choosing up this coin or meme.
We do know this guy on which its really that really unpredictable, he could say up something then that becomes a trend. We arent that still on a bull run yet and

Creating cryptocurrency is easy (for them as Devs) but the after sales are difficult, for example:
-Trust to users
-Use of coins by users
-Security for users
-Integration with Fiat, etc

So, Elon might also think 666x about creating his own coin that can integrate with X because it must be able to at least "save" fund assets for its users in the event of a hack.

Not really a good idea but if that happens (Elon creates his own coin) it could be a blunder.
