You are partly right, now is the best time to invest in cryptocurrency, I also bought some different coins now and I think the same as you, it is strange of course that now anyone sells before the market crash, but not everyone understands this and there are many newcomers who do not want to understand or someone who does not want to wait and just trades one day.

The problem with these FUD people is that they always be having regrets when something good will happen with Bitcoin especially when it's price goes back up and make a record of new ATH. It keeps on repeating until they realized they missed something from that 5k price range and that is acquiring Bitcoin.

If I see bitcoin in that time I will never miss this opportunity I will take it immediately but where will I get this opportunity because when bitcoin was in 16k at that time I was thinking that its soon will down to 12k then I will take it so much that I can't even think because I wanted to keep it whole  but now I didn't even get that chance so.

I will never see in my life the price of bitcoin in 5k because now it's not going to come down now it's will definitely going to cross 100k if it crosses 100k then it's going to go a lot further and we've lost that advantage and we're just regretting it. Somehow I find myself thinking about those that bought when the price was $50k what are they going to do?

If the price of Bitcointalk should reduce to that amount you’d see fud being spread all over the internet that bitcoin is now a scam because you won’t expect those that bought at a high price to just sit at one corner and clap hands while others keep stacking their stash. They’ll look for a way to drive people away or perhaps may be convinced that bitcoin is the next Luna and that it won’t go back up again.

I’m not praying for it to happen but if it does happen I’ll simply buy as much as I can afford – I won’t do more than my power can handle.

The point is that bitcoin is not going below $20000 ever again, not to talk of returning to $5000. Bitcoin is not those altcoins like Lunc or those altcoins that can go up 20x and fall 20x.

Such dream can only be a bad nightmare because even the market trend would never agree to the market manipulators if they decide to do that.  I never envisage Bitcoin to go anything below $20000 as it has already built a strong base for itself but if it eventually drops below that price heavens favour for us to accumulate more because the bounce back would definitely be overwhelming and a good one for every Bitcoin enthusiast.

There will be two opinions when seeing the price of Bitcoin fall to $5K, those who are optimistic and have been in Bitcoin for a long time will see this as an opportunity to increase the amount of Bitcoin they own, while those who are pessimistic even though they have both been in Bitcoin for a long time will be doubtful and afraid so they won't buy it but if still have it will sell it because they are afraid that something bad will happen and they will lose a lot of money.
I will buy it but still with money that I can afford to lose because something bad might happen so when it happens it won't be a big loss but if it doesn't happen at least I have increased the amount of my Bitcoin to get a profit when it goes up, I mean, as investors, we have to make decisions wisely, not just because we only think about profit, but also think about other things that must also be considered.

I'll do the same I'll even mortgage my house just to buy more, my biggest regret was not buying when the price crashed to $5k at the height of the pandemic because there were a lot of uncertainties at that time, but if it happens again unless the blockchain was hacked that is why the price is crashing, I will buy more and accumulate as much as I can, then I will have to wait for a few years to get the price back when the market becomes bullish.

The problem with these FUD people

The problem with FUD is that everyone screams FUD when there is something happening that they don't like
- the were guys screaming FUD and kept on buying cheap coins on MtGox saying that it's all FUD
- there were guys creaming that LUNA crashing is FUD , buy cheap coins, etc
- there were guys screaming FUD when China banned mining, the hashrate dropped 50% , every single graph was saying that buy they kept screaming FUD
- the same guys that scream FUD all lick CZ boots and say no problem, Binance is not in trouble while CZ itself is banned from leaving the country, and he again scream it's all FUD

Honestly I'm so tired of everyone labeling everything as FUD that I'm starting to believe there 99% chances that he has no clue what FUD even means.
So, what the FUD in discussing a possibility?
Look, I'm pretty sure there is a chance for Bitcoin to go there too, the possibility always exit, not having a plan for when something hits you like this while being a complete zealot believing that nothing bad can happen while you hold to your coins with dear life is just..lame

Why didn't you mortgage your house when it was at 15k? You had your lesson learned, and you could have made 3x in a month.

The chances of Bitcoin falling to $5k, if they are possible, of course they are, who says no? Same thi I've also sensed about bitcoin that at this time, we are more likely not to have any dip below $20,000 the presumption am having is to seing the market at least at the range of $30,000 and if there would be any bear, this will be the limit to how far it could go dip before the halving, hence everything should remain under the limit of $40,000 and raise a strong resistant over the bear market to seing it maintaining this limit.

The title of your post should be the actual content of the post. Like seriously, this will be the most surprising and strangest thing that would happen in this space. I don’t see any force that can penetrate the market now and make bitcoin go that low again after rising to the level it is now. Can we just stop assuming all this, because it is not even something realistic and not even in our wildest dream we can ever think of it happening. Bitcoin already crossed that level and it is never going back there with or without retracement.

Man, this thread is the strangest thread I have ever read, it seems the whole thread is completed in the question or title of the thread. However, if Bitcoin somehow dumps back to $5k level then I'll also try to buy and hold as much of it as my financial conditions allows me.

This is not even about one’s financial conditions but bitcoin dumping so low like that will bring fear into the market and not many people will want to buy that much and those that will even buy will be very sceptical. In events like this, people will begin to feel bitcoin has lost its value and can never rise back after falling so dip like this. For some; core bitcoin enthusiasts, they will find a cogent reason to invest as much as they can again while others will have a reason not to invest or maybe invest a little and assume it to be money they’re willing to lose even though it never rises again.

This is not a new thing, only the price you have provided here is different. Whether the price becomes $1 or $5000, those who believe in BTC will keep on hodling and buy more so that they can make more profits out of their investment. But most people will sell that's for sure only if they have bought at a higher price.

This is not a question that needs to be asked. We have made the journey from $69k to $15k and yet BTC stands on the top. If you know the history enough, then asking question like this holds no value.

I agree , I don't think bitcoin will go to below $ 20K soonest or later. For now bitcoin will go up day by day until bullish, although we will see dump but not  below 20K.

$5k is a huge amount of money in my country but if the price of Bitcoin return to $5k, I will take a $20k loan and buy about 4 Bitcoin then hold it. While I am holding that coin, I will also get a job that I will be doing which can generate some income for me and I can use it to repay my loan gradually while still waiting for the price of those Bitcoin to skyrocket again. It will be a great opportunity of it can happen and I will be happy to have buy 4 Bitcoin.
