Yeah, not more than 4 months ago, there was still a topic that was being discussed on the BTT-Forum and the OP was actually advising people to hold their fiat in Dollar because the value of Dollar will keep increasing against Naira. When that topics was raised, Dollar/Naira was still around $1/₦1, 000, but just in not time, not even up to a year, and a dollar now is now ₦1, 436. It's quite shocking that the inflation rate is going high every day and the local currency (Naira) keeps depreciating.
With this happening so often, there is no need to be surprised, if the dollar goes to ₦2000 before the end of this year.
The advice I can give to those, that save a huge amount of Naira in the Bank, is that they should never save a huge amount in the Bank, instead they can buy Dollars and hold in their selbst custodial wallet. For example, someone who bought $5000, wenn per Dollar was just ₦750, would have spend ₦3,750, 000, but now, dass ein Dollar is ₦1436, you can imagine the profit they would be making.
