Reorganizing forum boards & subboards

I don't know when it was changed but I noticed this just yesterday. As part of the ongoing reorganization, it looks like admin decided that only top 4 coins with the highest engagement/interaction will have their own board while the rest were demoted to sub-board of Other Popular Coins.

It's faster to navigate now.

I saw the post from OP and revisited the home page. The Cryptocurrency Ecosystem section now looks very organized. Further Discussions section is still confusing. Trash and Quarantine & Test Area means same to me. Entrepreneurship, Business & Online Work Forum board is covered by Marketplace section already. There are still many improvements cam be done to make the homepage makes more simple.

Overall, nice to see movements.

That is a good option to have if you are a local moderator and if you want to make forum cleaner, but do you have any good activity in your local board?
I can't say the same thing for our local board in this forum, so this is unusable for me right now, but I hope this will change.

Seems like the Nigeria Local board is the most active at the moment as there is never a free day for me. I already have 3 pages of handled reports and no pending report.

I am not worried about Nigerian local board as long as they have Igebotz as a sheriff to control the situation, delete spam and send scammers to prison

I'm currently moderating 3 telegram channels.

So that is the reason why you are not performing so good in BSFL competition 
Family always comes first, and I know moderating job is not easy because I had some practice in telegram.
Job of forum moderator is little easier I think.

Moderation on Bitcointalk is considerably more difficult than here; the traffic is insane, and moderators have to cope with tens of thousands reports each month. It's not an easy work, but the payoff is worthwhile. Theymos keeps them on their toes;D.

The BSFL thing is tiresome. I'm not sure what else I'm doing wrong; I've become worse since I was relegated.

Try to stay on topic, I don't want to lock this thread because I think there is still room for discussion and possible improvements in the forum's organisation.

To bring this discussion back to the surface, I understand the initial proposal, and sure I'd prefer Altcoins discussions and Forum related nearer the top (how it used to be if I remember correctly). But the point is it's not supposed to be designed how I want it, but instead how it's most beneficial for new users visiting the site. To put it simply I'm expected to scroll down, and like others have expressed here, that's exactly what I'll do. We otherwise can't expect new users to be scrolling that far on a site they've never visited, it is just basic marketing after all. So I agree with admin here, even if I don't appreciate it either.

Otherwise the change to move cryptocurrency system coin sections to other popular cryptos was a smart move. This reminds me of the initial consolidation of shitcoins into that sections some years ago. Afterall, everything after the first four coins has very limited activity. It's best collapsed for users looking for a specific forum for a specific coin these days. The technical board is also long overdue, so is good to see it's inclusion. I'm otherwise thinking this is more or less as good as it's going to get right now.

I also think that a lot of issues earlier in the year were because there were so many new users, and granted the forum is very sprawling and easily confusing when you first start using it. Over time it does get easier, with more experience, even if some of the organisation remains frustrating. I think in the meantime it's best to consolidate boards by merging those with the least activity, like those which have 5 years worth of topics on the first page, or don't even fill up a first page where possible. I understand having very specific boards for very specific purposes (earning based), but there is also a balance in having these and having users actually find the topics in boards that only get a new post every few years.

As a few some examples:
- Airdrops & Giveaways [FREE]: Random Crypto Giveaway / Airdrop, Airdrops requiring wallets installation / Connection, Altcoins Faucets, NFT Giveaways,
- Awards, Contests & Voting: Awards, Competitions & Contests, Crypto Raffle / Lottery, Voting
- These child boards could all be merged into the parent boards, making the parent boards almost look busy.

I'm very much aware there is specific purposes for these child boards, but otherwise for specific reasoning:
- Having a board for two posts (Awards) is fundamentally not a good reason to have a board, that can just be moved to forum announcements.
- Crypto Raffle / Lottery is another two post board, that could just be resolved by pinning the forum-based topics in the busier parent board
- The voting board otherwise died since I stopped moving polls to it years ago (something I should never have done in the first place to be honest).
- NFT Giveaways is completely over, let's not pretend like this is making a return in a hurry, is another pointless board now
- Random Crypto Giveaway is arguably almost useful, but could otherwise be merged with the airdrop spam (could even make the spam more useful!)
- As for Competitions & Contests, I genuinely surprised whenever I find users actually discover this board organically, but still doesn't need a child board either

Those are my two satoshis anyway. I think they were the same suggestions as 2021 when there were less child boards so not expecting any further changes here

i just moved it there, because i need it for a specific plan ...
and the senate have recently decided to axe it in the recent reorganisation ...
so it is where it should be
