And so Coinbase officially ends Bitcoin SV support.

Good riddance though, I remember back when there was a rift between the community and obviously, they have challenge Bitcoin and they even claim to be the real Satoshi Bitcoin.

Anyhow, the market has spoken and there could be exchange that will also sunset their support to this coin.

BSV only wanted to steal bitcoin name. It is not even a fork of bitcoin. Bitcoin cash forked from bitcoin, while Bitcoin SV forked from bitcoin cash. All of them, I mean the forked coins and the fork of the forked coins, including bitcoin diamond and bitcoin gold all are significantly behind bitcoin. Instead for them to create a better altcointalk, they only wanted to compete but lost in the competition because they are all still altcoins that gained little relevance.

Both agreed on your points, it's a forked coin and the people behind have their own incentives here. But as time goes by, perhaps they are still in the crypto space, but the support is going down hard and people are losing money.

So if people are losing money, then exchanges will end their support for this coin. And it's going to be bad for the people who was mislead that this is the true vision of Satoshi or calling themselves the real Bitcoin for quite sometime that causes confusion to the newbies.

But good riddance to them.

There is no demand, and it might be just a p&d as it is the typical characteristics of an altcoin. And we all know who are the individual behind this projects, it's Faketoshi and now he is losing grip on it.

And if not for him money that keeps this project afloat and his supporters who still thinks that he is the real Satoshi, this project could have been dead. But it's good to hear that top exchange like Coinbase stopped it's support to it and maybe other big exchange as well will follow suit.

BTC sv is a shitcoin and i don't even know the people who use this coin, i feel many other centralized exchanges should also stop their support of this coin. BTC sv or other forks of BTC are not recommended coins in my honest opinion, buy the real BTC and not coins that just have BTC in their names, but with no demand or usefulness.

Sometimes I thought Craig Wright was a troll trying to trigger everybody. If he had managed to trigger Satoshi, maybe we could have gotten some big clues about Satoshi. I don't have a better explanation for what he did. I think at the end of the day, if he makes a confession like that, he can get his reputation back... :) It's fun all the way around, but he's a person of magazine value that shouldn't go beyond fun. I hope we hear less about him and his bizarre claims...

What take them so long to remove it, they should have do it much earlier. Or they should not even list it in the very first place. There'a nothing good and benefits of using it.
I checked every known explorer^[1] supporting it and it seems it doesn't have any transactions there more like it's a dead coin just like it's owner.

This must have been done long time ago but this only shows that Coinbase doesn't like Craig Wright and his fake Bitcoin. Everyone have taken profit on it when it was fresh during the split and that should stay there. So, whoever owns this up to this time probably have bought it when it's high or haven't sold it during the split. And you decide whether you'd sell it or not now.

IMO the choice to list it isn't wrong choice, since i recall BCH owner (who use Coinbase) automatically got BSV where they can sell it easily. Although i agree it should be done sooner, especially when BSV already removed from exchange pair since 2021.

Starting from the beginning of this year, there has been a massive delisting of coins and the first one was crackdown on privacy coins. For this BSC, no reason was stated but something is not right about this sudden move. Personally, I have never been a fan of BSV because since ever the fork was successfully, it was meant to improve Bitcoin protocol but with this, it's way dumb than Bitcoin and even the Bitcoin cash (BCH) is doing better than Bitcoin SV.

The lesson learnt here is that no matter how smart you think you can improve on innovation, you can't beat the original work and that is Bitcoin. They rubbish bitcoin and divided the community but it seems Bitcoin grew stronger and to say that many of the Bitcoin community claim there fork Bitcoin and dump it at all time high and no demand is coming from investors.

One coin I have never touched is Bitcoin SV. I don't know how but I don't like it. So I've never even traded it. This news will also be a heavy blow to Bitcoin SV but this will not affect Bitcoin.

I don't think exchanges care much about whether people lose money on a particular coin. Certainly, this kind of concern will not lead to the delisting of some coins from their platform.

However, when it comes to Bitcoin SV, there have been many reasons for marginalizing and removing this coin from exchanges for a long time. I'm glad it's finally happening

The news is a little old but I did not talk about it on this forum yet. BSV had some security issues and the main celebrity of this community was Craig Wright, a self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto, who gave this hard fork of BCH a bad image. Although I was not very interested in this coin and even now I am not interested. I just saw your post and thought why are you admiring this step of Coinbase?

I know that was not the real BTC or the real Satoshi Nakamoto respectively but this is not how things should go and I don't think we can disappear some coins completely from the crypto market until there is a community with money to support it. Even if the centralized exchanges delists them there are other markets exists to support it. I am not a supporter of BSV but only sharing my thoughts on this.

Surely it will not affect BTC, this shitcoin and BTC have no connection whatsoever. This would not even be a heavy blow, because i don't think there is any demand for this shitcoin and people do not even use it. I think other exchanges that still have this shitcoin in their list of coins should also delist it, because in my honest opinion this coin has nothing to offer, zero utility.
