I think here in my country we only have alcohol and drug addiction treatment centers and we don't have rehab for people who are addicted to gambling.
People who are addicted in gambling needs family support and this is not easy to treat this kind of addiction compared to those who are addicted in drugs or alcohol.
As other people said here in my country it's better to be addicted to drugs than addicted to gambling there are many rich who become poor due to this addiction.

That advice is no longer useful for addicts. What they need is help from professionals who understand their addiction and understand how to treat it. Me doing it alone would not be helpful for him. Why? Because I'm not an expert.
What I can do though is to report his situation to a rehabilitation center and from there, they will help him recover and help his gambling addiction disappear.

Yes, the role of a third party will be effective. I will give a simple example of this. For example, in controlling the activities of someone who is addicted, it can be observed by a third party or family, if they have an income every month then it can be taken over by the family to control their finances, this is safer than the money being held by an addict.
