I don't know exactly what do you mean by crypto spinning, is that a gambling related thing? if that is then there are legit and scam both type of events in crypto.
Your friend was clearing being naive at that point, in my opinion there is no harm in trying to join a event like since you don't have to loose anything anyway. but be careful if they ask extra and important personal details. avoid doing kyc for such events.
He asked if I was planning to share my prize with him since he tried protecting me from potential risks. I hadn't thought about that at all, in my mind it was my prize to keep. When I hesitated, he got more frustrated, thinking I was disregarding our friendship.
After the dust settled, we talked it out again. I said I appreciated him looking out for me but I still felt it was my prize to decide what to do with. We don't share money as friends anyway. Eventually he dropped it, but I could tell he was bothered I didn't listen to him in the first place.
What do you think - should I split a contest prize to heal a friendship, even if I solely entered and won? Do you try online spinning promotions or find them too questionable? Let me know your thoughts!
Actually, your friend was the one who disregarding the friendship. first he tried to stop you from joining an even, but when you joined and won he wanted a share of that price, that's bullshit,
You did the right thing by not sharing the prize with him and i don't think you should do that now. it is your prize that you earned by believing in something he didnt. you deserve 100% of that.
