If before there were no cellphones, only telephones, then as time passed, cellphones evolved, and there was the internet and social media that people were not used to. But when we got used to it because the technology we had was unstoppable, it was adopted by humanity all over the world.

In my childhood, i saw how difficult it was for people to communicate but with today modern technology it is very easy. Moreover from smartphones and social media to smartphones and all your daily needs, technology is sure to be used.
