Hard work will surely pay off in every little thing we do, call it big or small, it will surely pay off as long as you put your best into it and you are ready to improve.

Putting up hard work is not for those who are lazy and not ready to push themselves to learn and work hard towards achieving their goals. Hard work pays off to those who don't give up on themselves, who trust and believe in themselves and have a long term goals in their little things they do without stopping it along the line.

You are absolutely right but laziness will not allow most people to go and work for their daily bread and when they encounter hardship or hard times, they put the blames on our government or leaders and it will also make them to join any illegal activities which can result the problem we are facing today, that is why we should always be focus, diligent and self determine and patience because a patient dog eats the fattest bone.

If they are lazy, then what they think about is something that is enjoyable for themselves, and they don't want to do any work that might produce results for themselves but instead take actions that are detrimental.

It is not easy to change a character that has been built up from laziness, because usually they will always rely on other people's help rather than because of the efforts made first, and this trait is rooted in everything they do.

Yes, grown up man knows the secret of being successful, and that is to really work your ass off and then you should really love what you are doing so that you don't have qualms and whatnot. Just look at some of the most successful and riches person, like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, they have the passion on what they are doing and they are hell bent on accomplishing what they want, thus now we have Microsoft and Apple, two of the biggest companies not just in the US but in the world as well. Set a goal and never let that goal out of your sight and then push hard and after that, success will come.

Thanks for this I have been thinking lately and I have been wishing to increase my pay at work because I am really underpaid and it is saddening to see how much you could have been earning and how much you are earning and you are putting in a lot of your time and effort.

I think that if we want to increase the salary at our job, then we must be able to get an increase in work first so that we will be compensated for the increase in work with an adjusted salary. There are many ways to improve your work, such as increasing your education so that you will be rewarded for the education you get. If you can't get a promotion at work, you can do side work with what you can do with the skills you have and do it after doing regular work. Hmm, I've just seen a thread on education, in proper context, it was about formal education and many people agreed with the OP that it's over-rated and many disagreed, TBH in this era, money is power and everything to everyone, and that's the fact, education is important but money comes first and in this era, money can be earned with skills only the formal education cant help you with that, In my opinion, you should take formal education but developing skills from the day should be your first priority.

Working is good, working smart is better because with smart work, you may even earn more than you will when you just work hard, and then you will still be in a condition to fully enjoy the benefits.
